I bought a sample of Althair a few months ago and just got Liquid Brun in the mail a few days ago, and you are 100 percent correct. Very hard to tell the difference. I may need to buy a backup or two.
I have the 100ML bottle, and I find it far to strong on the Vanilla note, there is very little of the cinnamon spice coming through. It does a little after the dry down, but not as much as I would like. With it being so strong on the Vanilla, I'd almost argue it's heading towards a woman's fragrance rather than unisex or masculine. I'm a little disappointed if I am being honest, but that's the risk you take on blind buys. Sometimes you win, sometimes you give to your wife or friends 🙂
Ash, you should get your nose on Lumier Garcon by Fragrance World, it is a stellar clone of D & G Luminous Night. Can be bought at Triple Traders for $45 last time I checked. This one seems to be a sleeper. I just happened to purchase Liquid Brun last night, and pretty stoked to get my nose on it.
I wonder what percentage of fragheads actually care about a fragrance's presentation. It has to be significant because Ash goes into excruciating detail. But usually I fast forward to his description of the fragrance itself.

I got the Dua version called the eagle has landed. Having the original and the Dua version I can tell you it's incredibly close. I've worn them both and can't tell the difference. I find myself reaching for the Dua version and saving my OG a lot.
I have the herod clone from dua but the drydown is sweeter and also feels like oil on my skin is that the same with eagle? It feels weird since it makes me look like I'm sweating

This is the darkside of collecting, the disappointment of hyped fragrances 😞(initial thoughts) very cardamom forward, not getting much vanilla, i get the praline and as u said it very much fresh smelling in the opening.i could be tripping but i reminds me of one axe scent from my childhood. Im gonna give it time to mascerate, its looking a scent to wear casually imo. Will have to let other noses decide lol i may not love it but someone else will and ill take the compliment if it comes 🤣🤣

Nope. I have Mercedes-benz club black. It's my favorite fall winter fragrance. I have liquid brun on the way and also have a 3ml decant of Althairs. It's not the same as Mercedes-benz club black. Totally different.

It has a PD date of 06/2024 and an expiry date of 06/2029 on the bottom of the box. Do I need to let it macerate? Or have they changed the juice so it's weaker? Anyone else have this problem?
my guess is they get paid to hype this stuff up.. ive bought a lot of dupes and a lot of times they don’t live up to the hype. Did maceration change anything

I buy from them only when I get sale memos of 25% from them , I guess influencers don’t want to put them up cause they will lose endorsement money or free frags
