dude i absolutely binge watched all your videos like a mad man loool. you have exquisite taste when it comes to curating vsts. omg i've snagged four plugins that have completely made me fall in love with making music again
Thanks for your lovely comment! It gives me inspiration to keep this going as I struggled with time in the past period but I definitely plan to make some new videos soon. Very happy to hear you are in love with making music again as that's what it's all about! Enjoy your new plugins! ❤
Thank you very much! I'm currently busy with multiple projects, if I manage to find some time I'll upload and share the presets but can't promise to do it any time soon. 😊
I'm pretty new to this stuff, so this is a super basic question. But where do I "plug" this into? When audio channels talk about "plugins", do most have a standard format that work with any DAW? From what I understand that is the VST format? So if I was to use Reaper, or Waveform or Cakewalk, this type of plugin would work with any of them?
Yes, most plugins use the VST format including this one. Each computer Mac/Windows has a dedicated folder for these plugins where they are installed. Once they are there the DAW which could be Reaper or any other reads them and they are ready to be used within the software. 😊
Yup, unless you are on Pro Tools which uses AAX. Also there's 2 types of plugins, FX and instruments. FX would be stuff such as EQ, compressors, anything you run sound through, you load these in your DAW's mixer. Whereas virtual instrument plugins are typically loaded in/as instrument tracks and generate sound themselves. Some plugins do both but it's not too common. (Just in case something is not showing up, of course make sure you scanned your VSTs before) I hope that helps!
I know there must be a VCA given the percussion patches you demoed but I don't see one in the list of blocks. Is it an option over on the right where the LFOs are?
Copy and paste the component and vst files in their respective folders. Then your DAW of choice will read them automatically. Both Windows and Mac have default directories for those and when you double click on the image file of this plugin you're given shortcuts to access them.
The last version I got is stable for me but I'm on a Mac. I'm not sure how stable it is for Windows atm but I noted down in the Likes/Dislikes section of the video that the plugin is not super stable yet.
I didn't notice that! But then again I'm on M1 Pro so I don't usually have CPU issues. Hopefully, it will be optimized in the future so it runs more smoothly for everyone. 😊
This is F tier. The grid is fake, it's not even modular. The routing only flows downwards IN COLUMNS. It's just a lame effects rack with 5 racks. There's no use for this as we have many better options that aren't fake.
love these new generation synth that always come with genuine idea and new sounds and smooth interface
me too!

Enjoy your new plugins! ❤
Been using Blocks for a while. Very good stuff.
it's great!
Cool to see it has evolved
This is my kind of plugin! And I have the day off to play with it
Enjoy your day off!
The marketing had me thinking it was a Max for live devices at first. This looks neat!
Thanks!
This is very interesting would love a 3D animated wavetable oscillator that could import user wavetables.
That would be awesome!
Nice! Looks great for educational use. Maybe i can try it with a group sometime.
That would be nice!
Thanks for recommending this! It reminded me of HexoSynth, another FOSS modular plugin/standalone synth
Thank you! Need to check HexoSynth out. 😊
Thanks. Great for me. The sound is pure and deep. And the use easy.
And nice demo. Could you provide the presets you were using for it ? :)
Thank you very much! I'm currently busy with multiple projects, if I manage to find some time I'll upload and share the presets but can't promise to do it any time soon. 😊
Now this is HOT HOT HOT!! How can I buy this??
It's free. 😊 Download it from www.soonth.com

@@oscilop Thank you, I appreciate it! Makes sense.
@@driftmirror my pleasure! let me know how you like blocks if you give it a spin. 😊

它可以让我通过可视化得方式学习如何调制声音。感谢作者 (DeepL chinese -> english)It allows me to learn how to modulate sounds in a visual way. Thanks to the author
That's amazing! Enjoy learning! 😊
how did u make the drums?
I know there must be a VCA given the percussion patches you demoed but I don't see one in the list of blocks. Is it an option over on the right where the LFOs are?
Yes! You can just use an envelope to modulate the level of the block. 😊
Love❤❤
❤
Can you use it like vcv rack with drums and several modules at the same time for a composition?
hmm, it's a plugin so you can load as many instances you want in your daw 😊
Shame it doesn't appear in Ableton Live Suite 10 w Catalina os
Shouldn't be the case. Are you sure you copied the files in the right folders?
@@oscilop yea. Au gave plugin can't be loaded, should be deleted - message. Vst3 doesn't appear. Nothing more can be done.
@@irishmossdubwise you can join the Discord and contact the dev with your issue if you want to get it resolved. I'm sure it's something workable. 😊

you kinda sound like dennis villeneuve
😆
oooh very nice.
thank you! 💜
it's crashing Ableton when i load (in ableton11) (windows)

it's working on my windows, what does it say upon crashing? can you retrieve the logs somehow?
It's cool but it is a CPU hungry beast.

No, it’s real. And it’s modular by definition. Also it’s still in development and free.
