The defense objects to the prosecution questioning law enforcement for many reasons, such as claiming that the questions are leading, irrelevant, or that they violate rules of evidence. Objections could be raised if the defense believes that the prosecutor is attempting to elicit prejudicial or improper testimony. Chewing gum is a way to calm one's nerves and also helps with thought process. School teachers and parents allow children to chew gum in class. Especially if the child might be adhd or have other health issues. It helps to keep them calm. Might be why she is chewing it. Might help her keep her facts straight so she doesn't tell as many lies and get caught. But in my opinion, she has already lost that battle. Takes an evil person to do what these two have done. So sad that greed has to cost children so much.
