Witness Loses Patience with Defense Attorney in Missing Mom Murder Trial

- Court wrapped up early Friday afternoon following the testimony of retired forensic examiner, Anita Vailonis. She walked jurors through the evidence she processed in this case, and what those findings meant. Defense attorney Jon Schoenhorn questioned Vailonis and the two had a few interesting exchanges throughout the line of questioning. Michelle Troconis is on trial for her alleged involvement in the 2019 murder and disappearance of Jennifer Dulos.

Perfect witness! She gives her own testimony in response to the attorney. Does NOT allow the attorney to twist or mislead her findings. Gives impression of credibility and competence. Leaves the attorney looking like he’s grasping and out of her league.
And She is way out of his range of intellect clearly.
Trying so hard to make her say yes or no to agree with him. Thank goodness she was not intimidated. It's a barrel of garbage ! 😂
I have tried for weeks to watch this trial, but this defense attorney makes it impossible. 99% of the time he doesn’t ever get to his point or any point.

@@AidaShawJ.D. agreed that he does come off as arrogant, he should just keep quiet and not do anything till the closing arguments, the defense has already kind of conceded that there is no case against troconis so he should just stop antagonizing the jury and just wait for the prosecution to self destruct

The defence attorney has misjudged the intelligence of the forensic scientist. Did he never consider what the alternative to bagging the contents of the trash bag would be.
He is trying to conjure up distrust of evidence in the jurors' minds. Because he beat this to death, was disorganized, and had to be corrected by the judge, it won't work

This defense attorney was the worst I've ever seen, honestly. He asked absurd questions, and made it a point to critique everyone in the courtroom, whether it was necessary or not. It was bizarre.

If this defense attorney annoys me, I wonder how the jury feels about him. The only confused party seems to be the defense attorney. He knows exactly what he is doing. He appears to be so analytical. I’m sure he is getting paid hourly. The judge even looks annoyed! 😱

You never know.. The Jury might think All of the Defense’s objections mean something( although they’re not supposed to think that way).
The jury probably has lost all their patience with him. He wants to prove he knows big words.
I've watched several trials but this has been the strangest one. Both State and Defense seem inexperienced and the Judge repeatedly hosts "teaching" moments for them.
Meanwhile in the Crumbley case, the defense attorney is incompetent and the judge has no control or command of the courtroom. The prosecution seems to be the only competent party.

Judge has zero order in her courtroom. Far FAR too many speaking objections in front of the jury. It is wild to me how much lack of professionalism is showing in FRONT of the jury!! I heard that the lead Defense women was in the same Defense team for Lassars case. (Olympic physiotherapist SO)

on “wearing her emotions on her sleeve” but she’s incredibly passionate and aggressively and tirelessly fights for her client. I’d definitely want a lawyer like her if I needed a defense attorney.
The judge gives those explanations because he is attempting to prevent an appeal. You are correct in regards to this trial, it's mess. Witnesses have been called that didn't help neither side. Just a ridiculous trial. I believe if she is found guilty it's because she had an affair.

This defence Lawyer is a DoDo. I would hate to be stuck sitting next to him at a dinner party. He doesn’t know if he’s Arthur or Marther, and yet projects that confusion onto every one else. This woman ( and he knows it) is here to talk about forensics. The pictures have what bag they came from labelled on them. He is stuck in the weeds. Now the jury is going to sleep because of him. I know I just nodded off at the 10min mark.

I love love this witness!! Where in the world did the defendant find this attorney?? Everyday his questions get more and more ridiculous. I can’t even watch it, only highlights. He drives me crazy. He tries everything to confuse, object, object, and object. Anything to get the heat off his clients butt. The majority of his objections, 99 % have been over ruled.
Besides his rudeness toward forensic professionals and all in the courtroom, I believe all he's trying to do with all his nonsense is to confuse the jury.
The killer appears to be using a lap-top on her desk, with the other lawyer sitting as if she is her assistant.
The defense plans it to look like she is intelligent and involved in the case. They used to give them a yellow pad and pencils for tic tac toe.

Johnny Cochran, one of the premiere defense attorneys of his time, never once durung OJ trial raised his voice; became combative during cross of witnesses; was rude or disrespectful. Fierce advocacy of your client is one thing, but what Schoenhorn is doing is not that. He's being a jerk.
