I live in Brighton, and I really like it here. The downside is the weather...... the winters are long /cold/brutal. You'll want a 4x4 vehicle... I saw many people get stuck in Brighton this winter. Also, the transition seasons are long. You are lucky to get 3 months of good stable weather (late July, Aug, Sept, Early Oct).
I prefer an established neighborhoods to buy a new house. You already sorta know what you are going to be dealing with upon first glance. In new neighborhoods and the hype, it is often hard to tell. Thank you for the video.
Yes, the snow plows hit the bus routes and main arteries regularly but other streets in neighborhoods throughout the city don’t get streets cleared very often. I’m in a mid 60’s neighborhood and it’s the same.
Just laziness on the city's part. People have grown up here to accept it. In Ontario this wouldn't fly, roads are all cleared promptly by traditional snowplows, not graders, it costs too much, hence why SK roads are brutal in cities in the winter.

Established neighbourhoods are very nice for that reason
I have friends that live there…and the snow plows never or rarely come to clear the snow in the winter ❄️
For sure, the snow can be very deep on some streets
