hydro oil is good for life. I recommend getting the Honda shop manual for your model Honda. worth it's weight in gold. thanks. you made my day with your post. Are you a member of my Facebook group? Honda Snowblower Enthusiasts.
Thanks for doing this video Anthony. It is quite timely for me, since I will be doing this as soon as my new belts arrive. I have two questions. My snowblower is 15 years old. I did not order the impeller bearing. How likely is it that I need it? Should I order it now? Gonna go look to see what it costs. My second question is about the auger brake. Is there any actual braking surface on it or is it just metal that comes back against the belt. Mine has nothing but metal and it looked like that one is the same. My doesn't do anything anymore. Maybe I need to bend it to come in contact with it more.
you can inspect your bearing but at 15 years old do you really wanna remove bucket again in a few years to change it? Older 80's had a pad on the brake but these do not. the brake should spring back against belt but not a priority in my book. it's a safety feature. to shut off augers to prevent injury.

How do you align the pulleys
not sure what you mean. they should already be aligned. post pictures of what you have on the Facebook group HONDA SNOWBLOWER ENTHUSIASTS.
You said the machine was pretty much out of gas, but did you also need to drain the motor oil before tipping the machine back?
recommended. i have said it in several videos.
