It`s nice that u show your wet palette during your paintings, so we can get an idea of the colours and how u mix em together. Was really usefull 4 me

I think just painting the barrels med tone then washing dark and dry brushing will get you basically the same result with much less work.
Just touched up my barrels, I thought they were good til i saw yours. With your tips I greatly improved them. I'm doing the tables now and they are looking good. Thanks for the tips.

If you’re looking for a nontoxic wash i recommend Duncan Bisq-stain opaque acrylics. You thin it with water and can use it as a wash

For the Rust pls use either light rust wash from ammo by mig (enamel) or the rust colors in the rust set by Lifecolor
