@@ErikTheViking92 ok? which rankings are you in about? Any rankings you look at imperial is higher. QS, higher times, etc.. Also look up “Imperial-MIT student exchange” .. That being said it’s very clear that ETH is nowhere near. Perhaps in the European Union! For sure :)
@@oliver9541 Times always ranks the UK unis way higher than any other ranking. Kinda sus don't you think? :D The Shanghai ranking (ARWU) ranks ETH a bit higher than imperial. You are right tho as in QS imperial is ranked a bit higher than ETH in the overall ranking. This changes year-to-year and every year these two unis are neck-and-neck in all of the big rankings, so who cares really. The actual MIT of europe in terms of prestige would actually be cambridge university as it places highest in all rankings within natural sciences and engineering across the board. MIT has exchange contracts with lots of european universities btw. It's ok to hype up your Uni/alma mater but in the end, these rankings are all quite unreliable and get rigged by self- and crosscitations since they were initiated. ETH has been performing worse though in recent years in those rankings for some reason... Used to be Top3-Top5 in almost every subject.
I’m from New York but I’ve lived in Zurich the last 10 years. Although I want to go back to the States for college, ETH is a top university not only in Europe but in the world. The terrace on campus is a place I go with frequently with my friends and I love taking the Polybahn up!
Actually you can live on campus, more specifically Hönggerberg - there are 2 buildings (Student Village and Living Sience). And when it comes to safety, people got robbed/assaulted on campus and also there were people breaking (entering) into the student housing, including taking away things (stealing). Stealing packages was a daily occurance (judging by the angry posters).
How is the Masters in Aerospace Engineering at ETH Zurich? Is it comparable to other prominent universities in Aerospace such as TUM/TU Delft/ISAE Supaero ?
The MIT of Europe!! 😍 would you want to go to ETH Zürich??
Absolutely
Imperial college London is the MIT of Europe. Ranks way higher.
@@oliver9541 Not in most rankings. That being said, all rankings use "questionable" indicators and weighting of these indicators.
