    Thanks, Karen. I really liked that you saved the viewer/learner the pain of waiting to get the system process the data...takes some minutes. Very informative also.

      Thanks, glad it's helpful! The orthomosaic can take hours - I usually go to bed :)

    Maybe you could make a video going into more of the adjustment options one day? That would be amazing

      Thanks for the recommendation! I'll see how I go - I actually use other software more frequently

    Great presentation, just wondering did you use ground control points for those images?

    Hi Karen. Thanks for sharing. Its nice to see Heron Island 8 years after my visit there. One short question: Ηow did you deal with water refraction, which creates bathymetric errors (DSM errors) of 0.5x the real depth

    • @DrKJoyce
      @DrKJoyce  4 года назад

      Great question - in short, I don't at the moment. Extracting the depth isn't my focus with these data. Would be a great PhD project to work out how to do that from SfM though

    Thank you for the video! But what do you think, can this arcgis option surrogate Agisoft Metashape?

    Great video! So if the photos are not geotagged can you just georeference them using anchor points on ArcGIS pro?

    • @DrKJoyce
      @DrKJoyce  3 года назад

      No, unfortunately Arc Pro just won't ingest non-geotagged images for this workflow :( Pix4D and Agisoft can both handle them though

    Hi, I have a question. I want to make a vegetation cover map for an island. I had some drone images but they turned out to be incomplete so I tried with landsat images but the island I'm working with is not very big so I think I'm not getting very good results. My question is, should I get some new drone images or am I doing something wrong with the landsat images? And landsat images works good for small areas?

    I got an "ERROR 999999" when adjusting. Please help me on this.

  •  4 года назад

    Thanks Karen for the video! When I add the photos, ArcGIS do not find the geolocation EXIF on them. I checked the photos and all of them contain geolocation information.

      I got the same issue. did you figure it out?

    • @zakiafshar1936
      @zakiafshar1936 4 года назад

      so I just figured it out! ArcGIS is wired, some times it does not recognize the geolocation for some images and thus it does not automatically fill EXIF field.

      @@zakiafshar1936 So what the solution? try and try?

    You should of done Esri’s how to 😂. They made it way more complicated then it clearly needs to be. Could you do a video explaining how to get the 3D view in Pro?

    • @DrKJoyce
      @DrKJoyce  3 года назад

      haha thx for the feedback. Depends on what you mean by the 3D view though - I can think of a couple of interpretations of this
