    I come to this video every time I have to descale my machine. The instruction is simple and clear. Only one thing to mention, you need attach your hot water nozzle AFTER turning your lattissima on and when the cappuccino button is in orange. Otherwise it won't detect the nozzle or go into the descaling when you press the cappuccino button.

      Also I had found that if the lid is not pushed down it won’t eliminate the descaling light while descaling

    This is my exact coffee machine gifted to me by my husband last 2014, looked after this coffee machine well and descaled regularly with guidance from this video. Our machine still works perfectly without a hitch. Love this coffee machine!!! ☕️

    To clean Nespresso coffee machine at no cost: fill the water tank with natural white vinegar; Then you start pressing the cleaning button; After this process, fill the tank with clean water, then press the cleaning button again. After this process, the warning sign will go off; And your Nespresso coffee machine becomes clean and at a negligible cost. Trust this advice; I've been using it for years.

    no need for descaler just use vinegar if you want but just water is fine

    This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

    Ive had mine since 2011 🤞 i follow these instructions and tbey work. The machine works amazing , its a little tired looking with my four sons using it

    Great video, had my laptop sat on the island as i followed it bit by bit, i have had this machine over 10 years, its fantastic but i always forget how to de-scale it so have to watch this video again !! It only ever makes Latte's for me as i don't drink any other coffee, even then they are de-caf AND i go for a coffee strength of about 5 .......... I feel a failure of a man 🤦

    Bought mine in 2017, for the last months I’ve seen the orange light I thought just a light issue, didn’t know it’s an indicator for descaling 😂
    Last week the milk frothier could only suck from container halfway. I found this video after checking with store guy. It works again now and milk is foamier than ever. Thanks for the clear instructions! 👍

    Looks easy. I just got my machine. I got the long spout that carries the milk but i didnt get that hot water thing that is small and black

    للناس الي تحب تشرب كوفي في البيت؛ وتحب الكبتشينو ولديهم مثل هذي المكينة او ما شابهها؛ طبعا اذا كنت لا تستطيع شراء مادة التنظيف (سعرها مبالغ فيه كثيرا) انا استخدم الخل الابيض؛ الخطوات: ضع ٥٠٠ مل من الخل البيض في حاوية الماء الخلفية؛ وابداء بالضغط على زر الأخير في الزاوية اليمنى (زر الحليب) لتبدا عملية تنظيف الترسبات؛ بعد ان ينتهي؛ املئ خزان الماء وأبدأ التنظيف مكرر نفس العملية السابقة (بون خل ابيض)... بعد ان تنتهي..الان المكينة اصبحت جاهزة للعمل؛ بدون شراء مادة التنظيف الغالية.. بالهنا وطيب المذاق. لا تنسى تدعي لنا؛ الله يرحم والديك

    Great! I love my Nespresso Lattissima Plus and just figured out what the orange light that I've been experiencing for months means now. Ordered descaling solution, followed the directions on this video and no more orange light on the cappuccino button. Now I know to do a descaling as soon as I seen the orange light again

    I had problems with the descaling light staying on after the descaling cycle.
    Here are two tips:
    Firstly whatever descaling solution you use, fill it up to 600mls as per the owners book. Turn on machine and fit descaling pipe to milk outlet. (Pipe stored in fold down flap in front of milk container stand)
    Once the descaling cycle finishes which takes a long time as the machine starts and stops throughout the cycle so just let it do its thing.
    Secondly once it finishes descaling fill water tank to max and during the flush cycle add 300mls more water. The machine measures how much water passes through and obviously not calibrated for just the 1 litre tank capacity. This should reset the descale light once it finishes.
    Others have mentioned the light did not go off after the full cycle using the instructions above so use the instructions for the water hardness settings and set it to lowest setting then you can reset it later. I have not experienced this problem so can't guarantee it???

      Hi Kay,
      Once the descale process has been completed the machine should turn itself off. You should then remove the descale pipe and on next use it should flash and heat up as normal. If the process has not completed correctly and the machine did not turn itself off, it may not register it has been done. You can complete the descale cycle again with just fresh water and the machine will then recognize it has been completed.

    I've followed the instructions, however, once I remove the nozzle and turn on the machine again, the descaling light is still on, how do I turn this off?

    Done this numerous times now, last few attempts have taken a lot longer and the water flow out of each nozzle is no where near as consistent in the above video, more like a drip and very stop start. Anyone any idea as to what I can you to improve on this?

      Are you using the OEM (Nespresso) descaling solution? Using an aftermarket descaling product could cause buildup in your machine.

    Just been trying to descale my machine. The machine shows the descaling mode and the macchiato lights are the only lights on after using half the water in the tank. The cappuccino light never lights up at all. I pressed the macchiato button again. The process ran extremely slow with pauses in between tell the end. Bought mine around 2014. After the final rinse, the descaling light goes on again. 😭😭. Help.

    No orange glowing button. However, it has been 2+ years since I have descaled the machine.
    Is there a way to enter descaling mode, even though the machine does not say it is time?

    I have this machine, I followed the instructions in the video, but the orange button flashes and flashes without any activity. Nothing is happening. The water tank with the detergent just stays full. As if the openings are blocked.

      Did they help you? Mine flashes to indicate it is in descaling mode. I press the button. There is a whirring sound for a moment. Then the machine shuts off completely. So confused.

      Removable parts should be washed in warm, soapy water, rinsed with clean water and dried with every cleaning.

    My descaling process had a very small drip; is that normal? It came out in small droplets.

    Why the fuck have delonghi/nespresso not supplied a descale container instead of expecting us to balance a container precariously on the edge of the machine!? The amount of times I have had to clean up spilt liquid because there is nothing you can safely balance in front of the machine of sufficient size!

      You have to put more flushing water through than they tell you. (+300mls) That will make the light go out.

    Is this machine built to last?, I read a ton of negative feedback in Amazon about this unit not working after 1 to 4 weeks, and serious doubts to the quality of customer service, I want to get one but I am not sure

      I know you asked a few months ago, but I've used over 1,000 capsules in my Lattissima+ over the last year-plus, and it still works just as well as the day I bought it. I've recommended machines to family and friends, and theirs are still going strong as well. My understanding is that all of their machines use the same extractor mechanism made in Italy.

      +Wanda Burgosmercado When the cappuccino button stays on orange. (Duration depends on if you have hard or soft water - with hard water descaling is more frequent.) Also depends how often you use it, I use mine every day and I need to descale about every 5/6 months as we have soft water.

      With the machine switched-on, remove the descaling pipe and re-insert it. This step is missing from the video.

    estou tentando este tutorial pois o suporte telefonico nao resolveu. tambem nao foi oferecido o envio do produto para colocar na agua. Disseram "que nao precisa" é so fazer o processo pra " apagar a luz" . achei pouco profissional da parte do suporte. Tenho as maquinas a mais de 5 anos e so uso capsular originais. acho que o suporte poderia ter sido um pouco melhor.

      Hi Ahmed, we typically recommend descaling after every 300 capsules you brew or every 3 months whichever comes first.
