And miraculous did it worse IMAO, or is at least the better show with the same gimmick cuz the main character grows and learns and expands their powerset in a more Narratively satisfying way.

I love that they included the Tengu from Japanese folklore in this show. I mean I’ve never heard of Tengu having connections to ninjas in folklore but it’s still cool regardless.
The Ninja-Tengu connection is because of a religion called shugendo. I don't know all the details, but I know that ninja have a connection to tengu through shugendo

And I also realized something, I know it's far fetched but how the nomicon and lucky charm works feels the same. The nomicon is a book that gives randy advice on how to defeat the monster of the week, though randy can't figure out the advices of nomicon at first and later decipher it while the lucky charm helps ladybug defeat the villain of the week, though ladybug don't understand with how's the item gonna help her until later when she figures it out . The thing that makes nomicon and lucky charm similar is that they are both plot devices that the protagonists need to figure it out
Always seemed a little messed up to me that he needed to destroy something the monster cherished to help them. Granted, I do have a slight possessive streak and a serious hoarding problem, but I feel like that would just cause an infinite loop of the kids becoming monsters, being saved, and then becoming monsters again when they see their thing broken.
I think the writer's realized this, so in the later seasons, they make more specific, such as the guy that was in the iceberg, they destanked him via reuniting him with the one he loves.
TBF. The Nomicon was written by the many ninja that have lived and possibly or probably died serving their role as protectors. So some specifications WOULD be lost in translation. I mean if I had something held dear to me destroyed. Sure I'd be unhappy. But I'd be more unhappy that I briefly turned into a monster, when I could've controlled myself and not give in to my own emotions.

i first heard of this show through a biased source (which was negative towards it). I was a bit hesitant, but a while later it was in my recommended, so i thought i'd just give it a chance. I am now knees deep into the fandom.
10:28 - 12:20 As great as the episode was, what I never understood back then was how Randy was connected to the Tengu when Randy has a future version of the ninja suit and that version of the Tengu was from the past when it possessed Howard. Shouldn't that version of the Tengu be connected to the past ninja suit or 1st Ninja's suit, so how did Randy destroying his future version of the suit affect the past version of the Tengu.

Since some people are mentioning it, heere are some "similarities" between RC9GN and Miraculous Ladybug:
- The villain is always watching and on the look-out for negative emotions
- He uses the negative emotions and one thing of the victim to turn them into a monster
- To turn them and the things they make back, one needs to destroy the thing
- Red and black lmao (jk)
- technically the jojo and scarf work similarly lol
- the whole "pointing out" in grave situations via nomicon actually pointing/things turning into ladybug design

Man, I love your dedication and love for this series, it's absolutely amazing how it hasn't deteriorated after all this time! Most people would lose interest and especially lose motivation with a comic like yours, but you're so loyal with this show and it's beautiful!

Yes, it's a LOT of fun to make fun of him for his mistakes, and stupidity, dorkiness, his tendency to create more problems than solve them... Uhh.. what was I talking about? Haha, I'm just kidding, I freaking love Randy and his Ninja skills, at the end of the day, he does a lot for the people of Norrisville, really good at thinking on his feet, and has a heart of gold, ready to protect anyone! Even without the suit, he's still a hero, he never gives up, and he's always thinking about his Ninja duties and saving people! It makes me angry when Howard gets mad at him for "bailing on him" when he's literally DOING HIS JOB! But Howard being a shoob to Randy about being the Ninja can be a whole comment/essay on its own! 😂 This is already too long, haha sorry, I have a lot to say about my favorite boi uwu 💜❤️

Imo, the difference is:
A) The creators aren't as... easily aggressive as Tom Astruc.
B) The episodes are 11 minutes long
C) Theresa x Randy, while it has a will they won't they thing like Adrienette, at least it has no other pairings that gets in the way of it to the point of ruining the series, unlike Adrienette/Marichat/Ladynoir/Ladrien vs. Lukanette or Adrigami, which made a lot of people hate the series or notice the quality decline.

As great as the episode was, what I never understood back then was how Randy was connected to the Tengu when Randy has a future version of the ninja suit and that version of the Tengu was from the past when it possessed Howard. Shouldn't that version of the Tengu be connected to the past ninja suit or 1st Ninja's suit, so how did Randy destroying his future version of the suit affect the past version of the Tengu.
