    The worst thing is just how huge the in-combat res swing is for V!Lyon. NCD is basically the only viable option for a more general tank. Otherwise, you need to buff allies and debuff Lyon to have a chance at out-res him, which is really tough to take in consideration alongside other cav nukes.

    Oh this is the actual Fallen Edelgard all over again huh
    Where doing these counters aren't even viable with teammates present

    Literally everyone is using this with the Seidr's in summoner duels. Three out of five moves, just gone. Just...why?

    Hmm... I noticed something on Valentine Lyon's Gray Illusion A skill.
    It inflict the "End Action" status effect on foes with the highest Spd within 3 spaces of target foe, excluding the target. But it kinda works different when the target is a Savior unir that tirggeres Savior.
    Lets say we have Emblem Marth, who Spd has 47 Spd, Brave Corrin, who has 50 Spd, and Veyle, who has 30 Spd. And they are all near each other. Lyon initiates combat against Marth, and Corrin triggers her Savior effect to protect Marth. So after combat, Lyon would inflict the "End Action" on the foe with highest Spd excluding target. Considering the Target was Corrin, the highest spd foe near her is Marth. Nope! Marth is ignored by the Spd comparison, and Veyle is the one locked by Lyon.
    That feels wrong, in my opinion, because units saved by Saviors still count for skills like Bond and Form, so why wouldn't they count for Gray Illusion?
    Also, if we excluded Veyle from the map, and only have Marth and Corrin, Marth will still be excluded from the Spd comparison, and no one will have their Action ended after the combat.

    Does Freyr's dream deliverer skill remove the penalty? You covered the staff utility of outright removing the status, I'm curious if Freyr's effect works as well

    • @Vandarf
      @Vandarf  11 месяцев назад

      Freyr's Dream Deliverer does not work like Recovery skills. It only stops the Penalty being applied at start of turns, not during turns or post-combat stuff

    Does dream deliver Freyr C skill works.

    • @Vandarf
      @Vandarf  11 месяцев назад +3

      Nope. It is penalty post combat. Freyr didn't stop Schism, so does this status.

      @@Vandarfdoesn't freyr's C skill trigger on both phases? Why wouldn't it remove the debuff at the start of his own phase?

    • @Debloko666
      @Debloko666 11 месяцев назад +7

      @@Ian-fi7co
      Freyr's C skill, Dream Deliverer, only removes skills that trigger at the same time as his skill, but do not remove skill that trigger at different times.
      For example, Freyr can remove the Def/Res debuff from Def/Res Ploy 3 skill since that skill triggers at start of the phase just like Dream Deliverer, but cannot remove Def/Res from Def/Res Ruse or a Def/Res Smoke skills, because the first one trigger during the phase by a unit using their assist skill and the other triggers after combat.
      Just to remember what the skill's description says:
      At start of player phase or enemy phase, if unit is within 2 spaces of an ally, neutralizes any 【Penalty】that takes effect on unit or allies within 2 spaces of unit at this time.
      "at this time" in the end of the description means ONLY skills effects that trigger at start of player phase or enemy phase will be countered by Freyr, while all the others effects that trigger at different times will not.

      @@Ian-fi7coI find it helpful to think of Freyr’s C as a shield instead of a cleanse. The shield goes up briefly at the start of each phase and blocks incoming statuses at that time. Mid-phase, it’s down and statuses can be applied. It doesn’t matter if the shields come up again after the fact, they’ve already been applied and will stick

    Just have B!Marth or Fallen Byleth with No Quarter (linked to Emblem Marth passive), Time Pulse 4, DC and NCD 4. Both of them eat him alive easily with this build
