    That’s a cool setup! I have an 01 Yukon Xl I’m setting up for mobile. I’ve been checking out your videos and was surprised to see you have a similar rig, definitely inspiring seeing your setup! Thanks for posting this! Not sure if I’ve seen you in the forums or not as not sure who you are but you definitely got a great channel and I’ll be sure to share some videos. Thanks again, Glen Forehand

      Thanks! My suburban is at the end of it's life but it worked great until now.😃 The only forum I'm on is Diagnostic Network.

    THAT WAS THE BEST VIDEO ON RUclips I HAVE EVER SEEN ,,,,, THERE IS A TOOL THAT I AM VERY INTERESTED IN AND THAT IS A AUTOMOTIVE INFRARED THERMAL IMAGER GUN,,, TOPDON SEEMS TO HAVE A GREAT ONE . I AM WORKING ON A 2013 DODGE JOURNEY WITH AN INTERMITTENT AMP DRAW AND I THINK THIS WOULD BE THE ONLY TOOL THAT COULD CATCH IT IN THE ACT AT THE SHORT TIME THAT IT DOES IT . I THINK YOUR VIDEOS ARE TRULY SOME OF THE GREATEST I HAVE SEEN AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND ASK THAT YOU PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING . 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍 I WILL UPDATE ON THE BUICK AS SOON AS I RETURN TO IT .

      Thanks for watching! Hope you get the Buick fixed! TopDon seems to be where its at these days, I don't have their thermal imager but the Phoenix Elite scan tool is my favorite.

    5:28 What circuits do you use the DIY calibrated load test lights on? What circuits would need 10A, 550mA etc.

    • @advancedleveldiagnostics
      @advancedleveldiagnostics  10 месяцев назад +1

      I use the 4.5 amp one for checking power and grounds with the component unplugged, The 550ma I would use for a Heater circuit on a 02 sensor, I try to supplement what the load should be.

    • @AK-IT
      @AK-IT 10 месяцев назад

      @@advancedleveldiagnostics got it thank you for the response.
      Why not just use the 550mA load on everything? Or a an even smaller load that compatible with a range of circuits?

    • @advancedleveldiagnostics
      @advancedleveldiagnostics  10 месяцев назад +1

      @@AK-IT If the load is too small, it can often carry 150ma but not 4amps. An example would be an intermittent bad ground that would light up a regular test light but not a headlight bulb.

    Whats do you not like about the low amp clamp? I am looking to purchase that very one (ES 688 or ES 683) to measure parasitic draw at the mA level. Is there another tool or method that you use to diagnose it?

    • @advancedleveldiagnostics
      @advancedleveldiagnostics  11 месяцев назад +1

      I feel like it drifts too drastically when it's in the mA scale, so I never trust it and always put an ammeter in series.

    • @AK-IT
      @AK-IT 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@advancedleveldiagnostics Have you tried wrapping wire 10x times to increase the A 10x so that it is in a more stable range for the clamp meter?
      I was thinking of using an AC Line Splitter for outlets but only using one of the terminals for DC automotive work.
      Someone suggested this because seems as though these low amp clamps are inaccurate below 100mA which is actually where a measurement is needed.

    • @advancedleveldiagnostics
      @advancedleveldiagnostics  11 месяцев назад +1

      @@AK-IT I have not tried that, I feel it's easier to go in series with a meter. Once your wrapping it wouldn't a regular amp clamp work and would not need one special for mA?

    Hey random question. Do you know what kind of quick connect fitting is on the end of the radiator pressure test caps? I am trying to make a quick connect hose to use my pressure sensors and for the life of me, I cant find it. All I know is that the majority of the test kits use that fitting on their caps. Looking for the female side of the connector. Thanks man!
