The intro gave me PTSD... I have a second channel that I spent 20 hours straight on a video, published it and it got 18 views... I couldn't get myself to upload for 6 months... I am sure out of that 18 views, 5 were me checking what's wrong.
Good ideas that are actionable no brainers.
How to videos seem to be the way to go to even scarpe along the bottom of the RUclips barrel.
I think youtube is gradually transitioning to be facebook where you have a lot of subscribers but your video is shown only to a selected number of people.
It’s already this. RUclips will only show you what interests you. If you scroll through your own subscriptions you’ll probably come across channels you didn’t even know you were still subscribed to.
Subs are more of a vanity thing.

The main tip is to not get demotivated. I tried to get my friend into doing youtube and he's really passionate about it but but his main problem is he Gets demotivated to do RUclips after watching the loan numbers instead of making more content begin to algorithm. He just stops..

Thanks for the video, but the main problem for most people is RUclips not actually pushing your video out to people, impressions.
My last video I put out 6 days ago.
Has 500 views (very low compared to my previous videos)
Has 68 likes (ZERO dislikes)
an impressive 13.5% CTR (way above my longer videos, which avg at 6.5%)
But youtube has only given it 2,000 impressions over the course of the 6 days. Showing it to approx 10 people an hour. Only 10 an hour? Why is this? Is it because it is under 8 minutes? Probably... that's the only logical reason that comes into my head. RUclips just doesn't want to push sub 8-10 min videos to people. Or pehaps it just viewed the performance of my other videos and wasn't too impressed by the response (although I think they did well)
This latest video was intentionally shorter, as it was going to be used to help bring more people over to my longer videos. Not everyone has 30mins+ to sit an watch a video, so maybe put off clicking on my other content. If I could draw them in with a 5 min video to get an idea of what my channel is, I was hoping when they had more time on their hands, they would move onto the longer videos.
Any thoughts on this would be really appreciated!

For me, the problem is RUclips not pushing my content to the feed. like everything is flat. but when I sent the video to my friend who has little sub it went viral on his channel gaining 100k views. (yt short)
That is interesting. That would support the thinking that some channels are just cast off by RUclips.

Very nice video. It's a good content. You suppose to have million views on it you just have 1.700 thousands. The problem is not thumbnail it's just RUclips, remove this video on your channel reupload it tomorrow, write the description, same thumbnail. It could have million views. I think getting views now it's just chance
Not true. The only person you have to blame is yourself and your video. It’s not a chance thing.
@@CollinMichael you have 287000 subscriber, you have good content and your videos have good quality, nice thumbnail? Can you tell me why the last two of your videos are just getting around 1000 views? Why? And contents are very good?
I recently cleaned up my 'thumbnail' (made a joke video).
These are some great tips, but the fact that your videos get 1-5k views tells me that there's something more to getting views than just retention editing, amazing titles, and nice thumbnails.
Idea ceiling. The amount of RUclips creators who are beginners who are not getting views who are actively searching for a video on why they are not getting views. My idea has set the ceiling on how many views I can get.
However, these are THE RIGHT viewer who I want on my channel. This video currently gets 100-200 views per 48 hours which is bringing the right viewer to the channel over the long term.
I know it won't get million views like other videos on the channel but that's not always the goal. Sometimes a videos goal is to make money, connect with your current community, etc...
@@CollinMichael I get wanting to have an audience that’s into your type of content, but I also know that I make $3.50 per 1,000 views. So if your revenue is anywhere close to mine, you average $6.00-$9.00 per video. The HUGE question I have is, how are you getting sponsorships if your view count is so low? Are they just not paying a lot?
@@brickflix4949 There's definitely more to earning money on RUclips than AdSense. I did a video few months ago sharing how I make money but last year I did about $130K on this channel.
Adsense for me is about $3.50 as well but I also make money on affiliate marketing (This can be $10-$50 per sale and sometimes recurring meaning I get paid each month they stay a customer) brand deals (I've made anywhere from $500-$3,000 per video depending on multiple factors) and consultations. (Usually charge $150-200/hr)
On the brand side, sometimes brands just want your content to run as ads and have no care for your reach. Some want your specific audience demographic as its who would buy their products.
For me and this video we are on, the goal is to establish myself as someone who understands youtube and push my consults and the 1of10 tool which is a recurring affiliate. The goal is LONG TERM impact. When a video ranks in search it may get low views at first but over time it grows bringing my consistent leads.

Gotta love a video on how to get views but legit is struggling for views itself
As discussed in the video, every idea has a ceiling. How many people are stuck getting 0 views and how many of those people are actively looking for content around that and how many of those will choose my video over what exists.
