I've been dealing with a lot of personal stress issues and been having trouble sleeping, But since starting to watch a few of your videos this week, they've really helped me relax and drift off to sleep. Never knew something like this would work so well. So thank you for doing what you do, I love it :)

This is great! After hearing this video (I usually don't watch ASMR vids -- I download them as MP3s and listen to them while sleeping), I remembered the chess set my Mom taught me to play on, back in 1972 during the Fischer-Spassky world championship match! I still have the set -- very small pieces, and they're plastic, but an elegant design, and nice coloring. When I have some time, I'll make you a tag video with them. The memory means a lot to me -- thanks for calling it up!
This made me think that a couple of ASMRtists playing chess would make a neat whisper/soft-spoken collaboration. Binaural mic with one content creator on either side, with the chess game as the visual backdrop (probably just following the move sequences from a historical game as it might get a bit mentally taxing to do otherwise!).
In school, I was in all sorts of clubs. I was even in the rock club. (weird, I knw) But, I remember being in the chess club, and I loved the sound of chess pieces being picked up and placed on a board in a silent room. Soooo relaxing. Thanks for the video, it really helps to relax when you don't have much time to sleep.
Great video, and the channel promotion at the end, with the rain storm playing in the background, was sweet and nostalgic--with some of your old videos playing, like the match lighting video. It's been a year and a half since I saw your first video. Such a soft night its turned into tonight. I'm off to bed.
i actually really love the water sounds at the end of your videos. would you do a video with whispering or guided relaxation and then a similar ocean sound with no noise in the background? i know you have your day at the beach video but the sound isn't as pure as the noise at the end of these videos :) it would be amazing.
Ilse, I was just at my local beauty salon here in Belgrade (Serbia) and I was flipping through a magazine, waiting for my waxing appointment, which I've been dreading for weeks. Anyway, there was an article on relaxation, and there you were! It had a description of ASMR (wrong choice of words though, they described it as ''mild stinging'') and it said something like ''who knew someone eating pizza or playing with wooden blocks is so soothing?''. I'm so proud of you and the whole ASMR community!
My aunt has been pretty sick lately and is having a really hard time sleeping and I showed her this video and she fell asleep right away and now it's my turn. (: thank you so much for making amazing videos. I don't know if I could sleep without them. Keep up the awesome work, Ilse!

I love chess piece sounds too! Great video, if you ever make another one please spend a little time just clinking 2 pieces together, making sounds with tapping and maybe rubbing the felt on the bottom

Same, I've been using that technique since I was about 7 years old. I only found out about the term ASMR about a week ago though. It was such a relief to learn I'm not alone. :)

Before the only thing that put me to sleep was listening to piano for a hour or sugar crashing from putting pixie sticks in my pop tho your videos made falling asleep sooo much easier thank you so much!

I don't know if anyone else likes to do this, but I rub my sides and arms gently as I'm listening to this and other videos. It helps me get more tingles in the back of my head. ♥
