- I go over my care tips for hoya kerrii. I've had this for 2 years and this is the first time that it is blooming for me. I don't have many hoya's in my collection but this one I couldn't say no.
In this video I go over my plant care routine for this plant and go into details as to how I was able to get my plant to bloom. I also touch upon how to propagate this plant as well.
I actually bought a single leaf. After two years it did start to grow and is now huge and has flowered for me a few times. If there is enough stem on the single cutting they will eventually grow (not all single cuttings will have enough stem to grow) Now I have a single cutting of the variegated version. Fingers crossed I have the same luck.
I just got a h. Curtisii. I love it! Tiny heart leaves. Growing fast. I also love h. Linearis. Adorable fuzzy leaves. But I struggle keeping this one alive.
These plants and you are so beautiful!
I only recently got into them more, before the pandemic, I only had 3 for years. After my first bloom, I was hooked, I want to smell them all now. Lol
Right now my favorites are the ones with purple splashes like wibergiae (sorry if the spelling is wrong) parasitica, and undulata or caudata. When givin enough sun, the splashes are purpley and I just love that so much.
Totally unrelated but I love your hair. And personality. You had me laughing when you were talking about the flowering. I just got a Hoya because she was completely flooded in a tiny cup at my local grocery store… here’s to my $3 investment! I hope she survives.
Awww thanks for putting a smile on my face ! Fingers crossed that your $3 investment is a fast grower!! ❤️
I’ve only heard misting with orchid spray will help , gorgeous plants . Oh I just bought one variegated Hoya Kerri off Amazon that said this one will grow so they must have a node we shall see , most of them prior don’t but some have . Tfs
When I first got my Kerrii back in 2019 he was a lil ugly thang. 😂 He had about 4 descent leafs and 3 ugly ones but after I repotted him and got rid of the straddlers, he began to thrive and now he’s the center of attention. He trails up a trellis with at least 10 stems that grew from the 3 stems he originally had. He is HUGE and he’s definitely a show stopper.
My 5 children understand my love for plants so we all enjoy they’re company. Btw I went through a terrible Hoya phase back in 2019-2020 until I realized that the more exotic they were. The easier they died.
I wasted a lot of money on those plants and 1/4 of them ended up dying due to the slightest mistakes.
Oh gosh. I’m trying my best not to get into exotic Hoyas for that very reason !! I’m happy to hear that your Kerri is doing awesome though!
Hi! your green hoya just perfect! My favorite is wayetii, and hoya Lisa. 🥰
I just bought my first hoya kerii today. It has 6 leaves, but they almost look like they need some water. The soil feels minimally damp, so I hesitate to water it. I can only dream that some day it will look like yours!! One question- do you top or bottom water?
Hi! I top bottom feed all my plants - sending you all the positive planty vibes so your hoya can grow quickly !
Beautiful
As you said in your video, i bought a Hoya keri like yours 16 months ago but just a Heart shape leaves only and its still not died but did not grow any baby leaves too. If it’s now growing as you said then why it did not died in 16 months? Im so confused cause its neither grow nor die but just a heart shape leaf i have for 16 months😢😭😢.
Hi, please tell me what you did when the leaves were dropping. I have kept my hoya kerrii in the south facing window.
hoya pachyclada variegated is one of my favorite 💚😍
How do you get it so big? How many years for it to get that big?
Aloha, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
@@leafletco great videos!
Mine is still small and after seeing yours I'm afraid it'll turn into a monster one day 😅
Haha. I am considering to chop, prop, and share if it continues to grow out of control 😂
I only have 4 types of hoya all carnosa. 5 hopefully as I found a random entire stem of a kerrii on the floor of home depot.
Thank you!
What is Pon?
How do you check Hoya Kerrii soil is 80% dry?
I usually just take a look at the color of the soil. Or you can stir up the soil and feel if it’s dry or not
The nectar stains, so be careful :o)

Hoya was the first plant to survive being in my care
