I was raised Evangelical (my mom is fully Jewish and the only one in her family that converted to Evangelical) my dad not Jewish. My parents did not love or respect each other. I ran away after prolonged and severe abuse eventually got foster parents for 1 year that were related to my moms side. They are Orthodox and introduced me to Judaism they were very kind to me. I appreciate them soo much. Due to court system trying to reunite biological kids with family I lost contact with them once I briefly went back with my dad because my parents were fighting with the foster parents to cover up abuses and cause seperation. Now I am only in contact with my younger brother and extended family not my parents. I try to put hints for my brother to look into Judaism as he's still Evangelical. I am grateful for Chabad and Oorah and a woman's program called Olami Souled that mentors me in my Judaism. I also met some friends while I was homeless over a decade ago that I am still friends with that are Jewish also some were orphans and others parents were not well. And we all help each other to this day to deal with what's going on in the world.
