    GM Amanda, I've said it once I'll say it again. You are one brave lady. You make it look so easy. I'm such a whimp. I always find myself running from lizards, wasp and dirt daubers. The Dragon flies....okay. Lol, as I watched today's video I just found myself going WOW. I must do better 🤣.

    I love your videos! Your energy is amazing. I’m 75 and live in coastal Georgia. For years I dealt with Virginia creeper without any problem until about 10 years ago. My husband and 2:07 I both became allergic to it as if it was poison ivy. I hope you continue without any problems.

    While you were trimming your dahlias, I noticed your edging and was wondering what kind you used. I’m wanting to add some curves to my existing flowerbeds. I so enjoy your videos.! 😊

    I currently have more grasshoppers than grass😂. I cut back so much my neighbor came to ask if i was ok! I'm buying seeds, starting seeds, and pulling weeds. Loving the cooler 90 degree weather.

    The artemesia really adds a nice touch. I love artemesia but have never had much luck with it. The virginia creeper looks beautiful on your house. We have it coming over our fence from our neighbors yard and it is really getting out of control. I recently pulled a lot out of trees but need to stay on top of it. I've seen deer eating it which is better than eating my plants.

    I use that Ryobi cutter on my mums. It works good for that and for removing top growth on lavender, rosemary or the spent blooms on coreopsis.

    The Virginia creeper does add a cottage feel to your front area. Love that pink coreopsis! Where did you find it? Thanks for the reminder to cut back mums. I need to do that but it’s so hard to cut off blooms. I know it helps though. Loving this cooler weather!

    What is happening with your hibiscus? I think aphids got my honeysuckle-it may come back. Now I am dealing with a grasshopper invasion--they are even sneaking in my house! Love your garden and knowledge. Artemisia with the persian shield is lovely!

    The Virginia creeper is so pretty. I would love it growing on my fence but at the same time I don't know if it would ruin the wood.

    • @shesamadgardener
      @shesamadgardener  2 месяца назад

      It doesn’t have deep suckers to rip wood apart …. You could also cut it down the ground every other year and it will still grow back beautifully.

  • @maryshaddox1172
    @maryshaddox1172 3 месяца назад

    Well, I learned something else new 2day. I didnt know virginia creeper is an allergen to some. It grows wild in the woods here where I live. Its one of the first things that starts to turn fall colors. I have handled it but had no allergic reaction 😊. But poison oak and poison ivy is a different story, which also grows wild here. 😮. Your new plants already look nice. Like the blue gray colors. I also was wondering what kind of mulch you use and you answered that today too. Thanks.

    you're wanting more rain and I'm wanting the rain to stop for awhile and give things a chance to dry out! Here in the Houston area we tolerated hurricane Beryl and all the wind, rain and damage from that. Now we're getting downpours daily. it's causing some things to grow like weeds and other things to get so waterlogged that they're not happy and neither am I! Hasn't the universe listened to the fact that if mamma's not happy no one is??😅😅 Well anyway it's not real pleasant right now here since all this rain has created a plethora of mosquitoes that want to carry you away. So I really hope your area takes over this rain and gives us a chance to dry out. Most positive thing is that it's not 100 degrees like last summer when we had extreme drought and triple digit temps for 3 months! So if you're at all familiar with the original cast of Saturday Night Live and the character RoseAnn Roseanna Danna who always ended with "it's always somethin'!
