The NES version will always have a special place in my heart. In Brazil, original games were a rarity,.only found in rental stores. So when I saw in a show an new,.in box, original one, even if not officially licensed, I had to buy it. I played a lot, I even went to bed leaving the console on, because, and that is the only thing preventing this game to become a classic, was the lack of password or save. I even made maps of the city and mine cart mini-game.
But, all those years, I still did not beat the NES version. Looks like it is time I get serious, and well use cheats, and grab all the stars (lacked 7 my last longrun).
Dizzy is such a cute little character, tumbling about and such.
I didn't played any Dizzy games, but for some reason this particular game keep appearing in my RUclips recommendations. And I must say I like NES version just for music alone.
ever since i become a dizzy fan, i wondered how a dizzy comparsion video on this channel would be like
Suggestion: Donald Duck Goin Quackers. Especially the differences between the PC and N64 versions are interesting, since the N64 version has a notorious feature where the developers corrupted the music (according to TCRF).
(The music of the PC version is really nice btw)
Man, i loved the music of the PC version. Especially the Gyro Lab theme is still stuck in the head after all these years.
I remember playing this on PC at my school as a kid.
OMG This is my first SEGA Genesis I ever played! Thanks for uploading this video cause I don't actually remember the name of this game!
NES/Famicon was my childhood!
Every dizzy sprite from all versions looks friendly and fine exept the Amiga (AGA) and PC DOS looks like my nightmares
request: Pocky & Rocky (Kiki Kaikai in japan) every version comparison please!
Class content,👍
One of my fave Dizzy games is Bubble Dizzy on the Commodore 64. Its ok on the 16bits aswell. Great video and as always. I assume the ST never got a version of Fantastic Dizzy.
My favorite video game series! 🥚🥚🥚
Might be my memory playing tricks on me, but I recall the CD32 version having a redbook audio OST that sounded different, granted the AGA build using the base Amiga music does seem correct. But hats off to the MegaDrive version for sure, the graphical effects really add a sense of charm I've come to heavily associate with this game.
My fault. I tried the Amiga CD32 version but unfortunately I couldn't hear anything. I've been looking for this version and indeed it has different and better music.
@@retrosutra I've got the CD32 Dizzy Collection and the music is on the disc itself. It's great too... probably the best tune!
@@batman-77 You're right. I have uploaded a new video with this version: ruclips.net/video/BxW24YPIRSc/видео.html
@@retrosutra You're a GEM! Appreciate the dedication you put into these and updating them. Great work. :)
Thank you 🙂
Im glad that Amiga OCS has a background layer, but it doesnt scroll at all. Its corrected in AGA version, but thats the only difference between them, which is disappointing given what AGA capabilities are. DOS version is pretty choppy, i guess in 1994 it was projected to run on a strong 486.
The Game Gear version runs at Master System's resolution.
Can you do Hyper Dyne Side Arms next?
Thanks. I'll add it to my list.
💪🏿
The NES version is so much better than all the others. The music is better, the gameplay is better.. sure the graphics on other versions are more polished and technically impressive, but the music is bad, the fact that the Master System/Game Gear versions pause the game every time you pick up an item is AWFUL.. it doesn't make up for it.
NES supreme!
The CD32 version is missing.
I published an updated version of this video with the missing Amiga CD32 here: ruclips.net/video/BxW24YPIRSc/видео.htmlsi=R_pnCouPn4IbHkTN
where are the SFX in the MD game? It's basically the same as the amiga? You can tell the nes was the original; it clearly has the most effort
video show Amiga version didn't have SFX
lazy developer didn't put SFX in MD version
cut costs/deadline/incompetent/rush it out
if NES is the worst looking/sounding version
why would it have the most effort put into it?
@@jasonlee7816 I don’t know, but it’s likely it was always envisioned as a NES game and the other ports were made for a quick buck
@@jasonlee7816 there are SFX in the MD game, looking again, but they’re very subtle compared to the nes
TREASURE ISLAND DIZZY was the first
of the DIZZY games, i have ever played on my Amiga 500 as a kid back in the early 1990's.
It was supringily good 😺👍🕹️.
And as for FANTASTIC DIZZY,
even though i am a big fan of the Amiga version,
the Sega Master System version of this game looks and sounds absolutely amazing 😺👍🕹️.
And what a great soundtrack it has.
Man that DOS port is horrible, even locked at 20fps
