Idk but PBC were not winning games for me. Even hitting 3s indirect just didn't do much because there is no ap. Don't get me started on entropy. Those things do absolutely nothing. The meta was leaning toward predators or chaos knight brigands anyway. Now it's just PBC is firmly out of meta.
Thematically Deathguard have been kings of battle of attrition. Plagueburst made that viable but we have to play alot more aggressively and possibly get tabled
Got a tournament on Sunday with new rules and I just bought triple PBC and LoV. Never used them before. In order to diffuse my frustration I am going to be taking a Mortarion and 6 chaos lords action list. Aiming for last place.
"Hold your bitterness deep within, and there let it fester. Let it roil and squirm and churn, until you are filled with bile so poisonous that all you touch falls to ruin." - Mortarion
Running Morty maybe my new go too. 1000pt tournament in September and even though he's a big chunk of points, the benefits he gives have kind of made him auto include in my opinion.
Only if your running predators really otherwise his buffs can be questionable and he can be ignored. Especially in 1000 points you can’t afford that much of your army to kill one unit a turn if that even.
Not changing typhus feels like they didnt realize death guard exists? If its only points yeah its the big takers going up and others coming down, maybe pbcs can still be intresting when you can see your target?
As for that msu playstyle, I think I am gonna be using a lot of our daemons battleline guy (poxbringers idk). they have good oc and durability and that also opens the door for us to run a great unclean one (now only 130 pts) thatll take the edge off the army, between it, some cultists, some mbh, maybe some poxwalkers I think we could definitely win a decent number of games.
lacking double nade is rough, trying to nuke an important target is important and the new one doesnt give much burst that other armies have. its a tough ask
Hard nerf the pbc points. Then hard nerf what made them great. Classic competitive balancing. Maybe they should nerf what they do great and then decide if they need a point nerf
for the SM i don't think the Divergent chapters units should be better then main codex units. it just invalidates the Codex compliant chapters. only way to do that is split of the Divergent chapters completely from the main codex. would also do so that you don't need two codex to play SM.
Is blightbringer that bad? I been using him with the droneing getting at least 3 extra mortal wounds off per pbc hit. Ill also add im fairly new to Warhammer and dg is my first and ownly army. That im still learning
And here I am just building first armies for me and my kid. I wanted artillery army and chose DG because of their mortars. And my son wanted Space marines with heavy armor. Both are now dead in the water. At least, they are both shit, so we can play each other with two bad lists still balanced against each other.
yes but you can only use them in turn two. but by that time the opponent is probably already on the point. and the only way to bring them in reliably is through rapid ingress, a land raider to slingshot them or by screening one objective with infiltrating nurglings so you can actually deep strike them
Why doesnt GW take their old box sets, split them up into individual armies, then just sell those halves later on as "Starter boxes" for each army alongside the combat patrols? The value of course is buying it early on.. but selling the two halves for like a 25% total discount would still sell fairly easily. It would be like alternative combat patrol options. Sell it for around the same price too. Imagine picking up a death guard combat patrol, and half of a dark imperium box all in the same trip.. it would make a formidable starting army that is totally worth the cost. If this was done for every army that has had a starter box set in the past, new players would have a waaaaay easier time getting into the hobby.
Anyone who plays DG knows they got smacked. Everyone else just looks at the points and says that’s fine, it’s just increases on your annoying characters
So the SM transports got the buff so they can actually transport full squads of primaris/gravis. As an Iron Hands player I hate the nerfs that I got because of BT and DA playing the tank game instead of staying in their emperor damned lane. As a Death Guard player I am curious to see how we play and eagere to play a 10 man blightlord brick
I feel we just need to play plague aggressively. put flamers on them and move forward. they are actually pretty tanky bodies with 5+ invul 2+ save and 12 wounds that normally sit behind a wall. They move 10 so very fast for deathguard and pretty good to spread contagion. Play the lord of virulence and they hit on 2's now since you are using them with the indirect
Impulsors got an increase in transport capacity to fit 6 blade guard and character IMO.
Thanks so much for the break down keep it up
Will Death Guard returns to his classic 35% win rate?
Yup it's been GWs goal to slowly slump us back down.
GW hates DG so anything that makes them have an edge such as indirect 2+ with no cover is never coming back now

being a slow army that cant really rush board control means DG really need a long range playstyle. its a huge hit
Knights can walk through a wall but apparently masonry is too much for a Stompa to handle…
Great video!! Thanks for your hardwork!! Might just drop the PBCs and run something else
Tournament in September, was building PBC & LoV with Typhus & Poxwalkers.
This update has dissapointed me quite alot.

Just yolo Mortarian and the PBC up the board so they get LOS by the time LOV comes in from deep strike haha
Running Morty maybe my new go too.

Hes to many points for 1k@WhispersinTheWarp

It’s ap1 so not really…

Plague bus is fun, throwing bodies at objectives
lacking double nade is rough, trying to nuke an important target is important and the new one doesnt give much burst that other armies have. its a tough ask
I really want to like our other power armor characters and might use a few just for fun.

Can PBC still hit on 2+ with Line of sight and Lord of Virulence?
Yes, with line of sight 100%
We did not need these nerfs. It wasn't like we have made the top table in any of the GTs this last month or two.
Is blightbringer that bad? I been using him with the droneing getting at least 3 extra mortal wounds off per pbc hit. Ill also add im fairly new to Warhammer and dg is my first and ownly army. That im still learning
First use of droning that isn’t a points filler lol

Thanks for the stream.
Our Predators are still 130 points. CSM ones went up to 140. Probably due to Dark Pacts.
good review
I believe in DG
Could 5 man blightlords in deepstrike be used as tough scoring units?
yes but you can only use them in turn two. but by that time the opponent is probably already on the point. and the only way to bring them in reliably is through rapid ingress, a land raider to slingshot them or by screening one objective with infiltrating nurglings so you can actually deep strike them
My only hope is that they didn't put much effort into DG because they are goung to be reworking it soon.

I think great unclean ones should have a 4+ feel no pain. They’re not super powerful. They should just be bullet sponges.
Mortarion for me is now pretty much only for ctan counter play.
Anyone who plays DG knows they got smacked. Everyone else just looks at the points and says that’s fine, it’s just increases on your annoying characters
a banger
60 PM, 6 Rhino, Typhus, and 3 predators come out to 2K flat, just sayin….
Feeling poopy after this, and not in a good way. But hey at least our codex likely won't need as many addendums.
So the SM transports got the buff so they can actually transport full squads of primaris/gravis. I just got my lord of v in what the heck!
Lets get free plague surgeons lol
Comment for da algorithm.
Which is only disgustingly resilient in how much it favours big channels.
Its certainly a day 😂
GW hate artillery and by extension A.M.
My entire list is now trash idk what to do anymore
Learn to play harder make 0 mistakes. Only chance to win now sigh…
@@drunkenboxer123456 the worst bit is I don't have that many plague marines

For the love of god just give them an armywide fnp.
