Removal of a Diseased Pear Tree stump| Micro-Orchard maintenance work| Re-Planting a new Pink Bed|
I was getting worried about a diseased Pear Tree stump on the micro-orchard - I did not like the look of fungal growth on it and thought it may spread to my other healthy tree which gave me a tremendous crop this year (Concorde Pear Variety).
I decided to chainsaw it out underground rather than try and dig the whole thing out manually as i'm certain its completely dead so should not regrow.
Them I am re-planting a new Pink Bed; this time using planting holes burned into weed supressing membrane - this will make micro-orchard maintenance much easier as there should be far fewer weeds to contend with.
