How to Create an Airfoil in SolidWorks

In this Video learn how to create a 3d airfoil in SolidWorks.
Task
To create an airfoil NACA 23012 with span 100mm and chord 100mm in SOLIDWORKS.
1. Get the Selig Data from
airfoiltools.co...
2. Copy Paste Data to Excel
3. Using TEXT to Columns Features from Data in Excel. Separate the Data into two columns
4. Add Third Column for Z = 0
5. Save the file as Text Tab delimited
6. Open SOLIDWORKS
7. Create a Part
8. Select Front Plane
9. Go to Features - Curve - Curve through XYZ Points
10. Browse the Data from where you saved the tab delimited file.
11. From the Curve through XYZ Points then OK
12. A Curve of Airfoil Cross Section is Inserted
13. Align the Curve with Origin
14. Dimension the Chord with 100mm
15. Extrude the airfoil with 100mm depth
16. Congratulations your Airfoil is ready
