And we dated for a year before he met my daughter. As a victim of SA, I just couldn't move forward with anyone without a background check, I didn't care the cost. And we dated for a year before he met my daughter. As a victim of SA, I just couldn't move forward with anyone without a background check, I didn't care the cost. My mom always says ppl show you their representative (even in marriage) you can know a person for years and not "know" they were capable of an act. NO "pop outs".

Most well of families would rather marry someone well off themselves or from a well off family as well. This is because they hang in the same crowds. Men with money are not going to low quality hang outs to pick up women with nothing unless they have nefarious intentions. They stick to their getaways, country clubs, and elite hangouts for a reason
