    As a fellow Amazonian... Let these fools strike... Amazon will just send their work to the other facilities, so customers are not affected... And then when they get shut down... More guaranteed work for the rest of us.❤

      @WhatsUpWithSheila 15 дней назад +1

      @msKita43 No:
      1. I have no major problems with my job ( that could easily be fixed)
      2. unions mostly help people who are *problem employees*
      3. Dues are only worth paying if your employer is a d*** , in which case why did you stay so long?
      There was a time in history where Union demands made were for *real* employee safety and well-being* and absolutely needed.
      Now it's just about getting pure *wants* satisfied.
      I see unions as the same as old school civil rights leaders. irrelevant & grasping at straws to appear so.
      *ALOT* of the people on *strike* don't even work for AMAZON..so who are they going to strike against, when AMAZON cancels their *real* bosses contract?

      @@WhatsUpWithSheila I appreciate you taking the time to explain your perspective. I can see your point. I just joined a job where there's an established union and I'm grateful for it. I don't like the idea of paying into it but if it means I have better job security and ppl advocating for my rights then I'm willing to pay.

    What the heck is a teamster?

    • @EthelMaeHenderson
      @EthelMaeHenderson 16 дней назад +4

      A Teamster historically referred to someone who drove a team of animals, such as horses or oxen, pulling a wagon or other equipment. The term originated in the 19th century and was commonly used during the era of horse-drawn transportation.
      In modern contexts, Teamster primarily refers to a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT), a prominent labor union in North America. The IBT represents a wide variety of workers, including those in transportation, logistics, warehousing, and other industries. While the union's roots are in organizing truck drivers and freight handlers, it has since expanded to cover workers in diverse fields.
      The IBT is known for advocating for workers' rights, fair wages, benefits, and better working conditions through collective bargaining and political activism.

Most of you don't mean squat to them, because you're not a union member! My dad was a lifetime union man and he showed me how union people literally despise anyone that's not a member. So, it shouldn't surprise anyone when the union bosses make the public suffer to get their demands met!

Self-inflating your worth doesn't make a person more valuable, you're only more valuable when you bring in more money for the company. Well I'm sure all the minority and small owned businesses on their would hate it if it went away. You people act like Amazon is the name of some big freaking store when it's really full of regular people all across the freaking world trying to make a living. You know people that can't afford rent or anything else.

      And Amazon going away means 1.5 million jobs disappear. That’s your idea?

      Obviously trillions of people across the world and I'm one of them. I love to bake and find unusual spices I love to support minority and small businesses which are all on amazon. And for the money I pay I get the delivery I get music I get video and so much more.
