Laptop No Power - The DECEPTIVE Laptop Charger

- If a laptop has no power, always test for power source first before thinking about battery, motherboard and the rest. Start with checking AC voltage and DC voltage in your laptop charger with a mutlimeter. A very common mistake is to assume that the laptop charger is working correctly even if you are getting DC voltage. However this is not true, as you also need to check for AMP from the laptop charger, which is not done alone with a multimeter.
The only proper easy way to test for a laptop charger is to swap with a KNOWN working laptop charger if you do not have the right equipment to test for AC, DC, and AMP. Today we are featuring the Lenovo Ideapad 310-15ISK.

yea its true the multimeter can help you diagnose some problems with chargers but the best way to test if your charger is really faulty is to have another charger with the correct tip and voltage requirement, the same also goes for desktop power supplies its just best to have another known working supply, and all you would need to do is plug in the 24 pin and 8 or 4 pin cpu connector, there is no need to mount it to the case unless you know for a fact that your old one is dead.

Hi im having a problem with my pc that ive working on its a HP pavilion computer and it has a built in graphics card in the motherboard but i just put a nvidia geforce 730 graphics card into it so the problem im having is it didnt originally have a hdmi output but the nvidia 730 i put in does and i pluged a hdmi cord in the nvidia 730 and then into my gaming monitor but im not able to see anything the pc is turned on the fans are going but i also a few days ago took the processor out then put it back in and screwed the cooling fan thing back on top of it so can you help me figure out which of these things are making it so the display isnt showing up on my monitor cause it could be either one im stumped been fustrated trying to figure it out for days
I have lenovo 320 15isk laptop with i3 6006u 8gb specs. I was playing a game with charging cord on. suddenly it goes off without any notification. And after that it does not turing on. I tried NOVO key hole as they mention to use in emergency. Screen come on with the options like pc recovery, boot bios, and and two options. But before i selecting some options it goes off again. Please help me soon. It is not even tuning on with bettery off carger on method. Again in this method creen comes, fan starts and goes off again. Please reply.
Hello I got this graphics card not long ago and whenever I turn my pc on the graphics card turns on and shows a display but the fans spin for the first 20 seconds then turn of but the display is still showing I’m so confused please help

Hope you are well! quite a long message (forgive me!) but:
So I got an Acer v3 574, and it has a charging issue. When plugged in whilst turned on and in use, the charger would constantly connect and disconnect. Sometimes this happens in quick succession and sometimes a bit slower. I can tell because the backlit keyboard turns on when plugged in and a beeping noise is made, but when it disconnects another beeping noise is made and the backlit keyboard turns off. (backlit keyboard is fine, it's just default settings to save on battery).
It charges perfectly when the laptop is turned off.
This doesn't happen all the time. As I am typing this it's working fine. I tried removing the battery and working only on AC power but it has happened in that case too (the laptop doesn't shut off though, just beeping noises (IIRC) and the keyboard light turns on and off), I guess this rules out a bad battery?
all updates are installed, and this continues to happen even if I disable/uninstall and then reinstall the drivers associated with the battery ("Microsoft AC adaptor" and "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery")
There is BIOS update available but given the issue and a BIOS update requiring the charger plugged in I am not going to risk it.
I have used the multimeter to check:
-Charging cable (the one that plugs into mains), I get 240 volts AC (UK)
-The charging pin, I get around 19.45 volts (it's rated for 19V) (it oscillates between 19.45/19.46, shouldn't be an issue right?)
-The power jack unplugged from the motherboard, same as above.
-The power jack port, same as above
- The port connecting to the battery (without the battery plugged in), from left to right it connects to the corresponding wires from the battery: 2 black wires, yellow, blue, white, green, and 2 red wires. These are the readings from yellow to red:
-Yellow: 3.35V
-Blue: 3.35V
-White: 2.49V
-Green: 0V
-The two reds: both 0.78V
I have used my friend's charger, and I never saw the same effect when using his charger, whereas when I switched back to mine it would work fine for some time and then start connecting/disconnecting. This confuses me because I got normal voltage results (right?...), as in, despite those normal results could the issue still be with the charger?
Could it be something to do with the amp output of the charger? or is it software? or a motherboard issue?
If I have written anything in a confusing way please lmk, happy to clarify.

Hey So I was over clocking my ram and I heard a pop after the pc restarted and then I got no display signal so I took apart my pc and put it back together it still wouldn’t give me a display signal and the motherboard is not powering the USB ports can u help in any way to fix it
