Hans, I reviewed the GR250 way way back, glad to hear you are still loving the bike. I retain my PRO GR as the designated nasty day weather bike. Huge tyre clearance (700c x 50), before it became fashionable to do so.
Been riding this same frame. I decided on the helix pro over the r500 simply for the twisted tube design. Ride quality lynskey decided not to make it too stiff. It's perfect balance between race geometry and a little softer ride/not harsh. Its no light weight but that's not what you buy a titanium frame for. It feels very well built like a tank compared to my other 3 ti bikes which are lighter but doesnt feel as robust. I don't care what many snobs say about lynskey being low tier on the ti market. They are the best value for money made here in USA.
Appreciate your feedback, I'm looking forward to getting this frame built up. 100% agreed about the snob factor comment. While I have a couple of T-Lab Ti frames in my stash, I LOVE my PRO GR.
@@GravelCyclist great to hear that and I am heavily influenced by your impressive review on the t-lab. I definitely want one from your impressions that it's very well built.
Sorry for the delay in responding. A set of Continental Terra Speed in 700c x 35mm fit front and rear mounted to a Corima Essentia 40 Wheelset. Inside width is 22.6mm
Tuesday's sipping the pool water🤣
Looking forward to the build. Your dogs are a hoot!
I've had the pleasure up pulling a GR300, Helix Pro, and a GR Race out of their boxes in the past few years. Good days indeed!
This will be an awesome bike. I have a Lynskey GR250, and it has been great.

@@GravelCyclist I know, I decided to buy that bike after watching your review back in 2017.
I have a Helix, not the Helix Pro, and it’ll take a 38mm tire which makes it a bit duel purpose for the more mild gravel roads.
@@timwhite2365 Thanks Tim, I am curious if I can squeeze a 35mm tyre into this frame / fork...
Wish I had good friends at Shimano 🙂
This should be an insightful build. Curious to see if there are any hurdles with this frame and the newer form Di2 components combo.

Did you try 34s yet? I really would like to know if they will fit. Thanks
