You could have asked the wait staff to clean the table and seats before sitting in and they will happily do it, that's standard practice in India, we always ask our tables to be wiped clean. That would have fixed your spider problem.

As long as food is steaming hot...never worry...just have package bottle of water coz...all issues usually be drinking water... Highway side stops usually have limited options unless the stop is really famous n gets huge crowd daily... So they prepare limited stuff to avoid wastage

The owner (also an accomplished violinist) Uday Gokhale is a very nice and fun guy to know. He can also point you towards some off-beat destinations around Ratnagiri district.
I think that toll booth was operational but as the company which made the highway recover the money they invested/ the amount which they have decided with the government, the toll booth becomes non-operational and they leave the structure as it is. #ShortleftTravels

Try brekfast poha... Hotel style poha please make vidio upload.. I was making poha at home.. I did not add chili to it.. It is made by adding chili.. And the option is sugar and jaggery.. there is no harm in asking for less spicy ... sometimes they may have everything in 2 versions: spicy version and less spicy version ... because many indians too do not tolerate more spicy ... it is all a question of not adding some hot masalas or adding them less to some bulk cooked staple food like dal or usal ... idli is my favorite because if coconut chutney turns out to be less spicy you can order one-two more servings of it and if sambar is less spicy you order more of it and leave the other on plate ... you should try another breakfast item called *Upma Sheera Chow Chow Bath* ... it is combo of savory sooji and sweet sooji ... if you find savory part too spicy then order any other item which you know from experience will not burn your innards and idli is one such item ... eat just idli no chutney no sambar ... there is no law against leaving both untouched on plate ... ask if any of savory items is available in bland version ... don't be shy ... plain uttapam is my another go to dish ... ordering onion uttapam is dicey in a busy restaurant with small kitchen because some of those have already mixed green chilis into onion and an order of onion no chili uttapam in such places means chef quickly removes chili pieces but onion regardless will taste spicy there might even be an odd chili seed stuck to onion giving away their fraud

Most of the roadside eateries in india, offer vegetarian food except for eggs. In our part of kokan region you won't get much veriety at these eateries ,always misal, Vada pav, samosa, bhurji occasionally idli, pohe ,dosa ... But can't say it's fulfilling. They don't offer local delicacies. You will have to visit local people's homes to try that

Try brekfast poha... Hotel style poha please make vidio upload.. I was making poha at home.. I did not add chili to it.. It is made by adding chili.. And the option is sugar and jaggery.. Even that did not make any difference in the test. Does anyone like to eat Khatta Mitha? Please go to the restaurant and eat Poha.. I will be happy.

there is no harm in asking for less spicy ... sometimes they may have everything in 2 versions: spicy version and less spicy version ... because many indians too do not tolerate more spicy ... it is all a question of not adding some hot masalas or adding them less to some bulk cooked staple food like dal or usal ... idli is my favorite because if coconut chutney turns out to be less spicy you can order one-two more servings of it and if sambar is less spicy you order more of it and leave the other on plate ... you should try another breakfast item called *Upma Sheera Chow Chow Bath* ... it is combo of savory sooji and sweet sooji ... if you find savory part too spicy then order any other item which you know from experience will not burn your innards and idli is one such item ... eat just idli no chutney no sambar ... there is no law against leaving both untouched on plate ... ask if any of savory items is available in bland version ... don't be shy ... plain uttapam is my another go to dish ... ordering onion uttapam is dicey in a busy restaurant with small kitchen because some of those have already mixed green chilis into onion and an order of onion no chili uttapam in such places means chef quickly removes chili pieces but onion regardless will taste spicy there might even be an odd chili seed stuck to onion giving away their fraud

Most of the roadside eateries in india, offer vegetarian food except for eggs. In our part of kokan region you won't get much veriety at these eateries ,always misal, Vada pav, samosa, bhurji occasionally idli, pohe ,dosa ... But can't say it's fulfilling. They don't offer local delicacies. You will have to visit local people's homes to try that

Always carry a small jar of jam or some kind of spread like chocolate or peanut butter for children If they can't eat food every time we travel long those are the very necessary things for my nephew's.
