Dropped on hellmire last night with a random squad of helldivers.
Night op and heavy sandstorms. Viz was a hard 0. We dropped between two shrieker nests. Then the fire tornadoes started. For fifteen minutes we experienced a kind of Hell untold by poets, unshown by cinema.
Man, I love this game.
Normandy beach but in a command and conquer/starcraft hell planet
There are no flying bugs just large inspectors like birds.

TWO shrieker nests? My group struggles when it's just one we gotta deal with, I cannot imagine the sheer vibe check you had received that mission.
Nights in this game don't screw around. You can end up fumbling around in pitch darkness with your weapon constantly shouldered just so you can use its flashlight.

It's a crying shame I never got this moment on video, but I got shot at by the bots on Draupnir and one of the stray shots hit those spore patches. You know the ones-- the ones that send you to the moon when they get shot.
I had the misfortune to be standing next to one, the force of which sends me careening into the side objective behind me... with a live Hellbomb inside.
I had all of two seconds to contemplate my fate before I was atomised.

With the frequency of updates this game has had and how fun these videos have been to watch; I wouldn't mind if Helldivers 2 content became some of the regular material I see from this channel.
I would 100% be for that.
I love how practical the contents are. contents are contents, I didn’t expect the bug spray but man a welcome how wacky the concept is
I love how they introduce new content - it's not through patch or "We changed season!". It's all in-game. You just boot up, dive into mission and suddenly - bugs can fly!

@@Theeight8b You forget how it's also not all of us who experience it at once. Both the flying bugs (shriekers) but also the gunships and striders had a period of a couple days or so where they slowly became more and more common.

This is finally a “Next Gen” game, all the console releases before this have been watered down because they’re making them for XBO and PS4 still, now Developers are getting used to the new console software and making exclusive titles that are actually the next step
The little things with the big things makes this game great. Making it realistic. Fun, every game is literally a movie of a Helldivers adventure.
It never gets old with the random shit that gets dropped on us.
for an old discontinued game engine, they showed its best capabilities. none expect for the game to have this level of detail and yet they still offer.
Yeah it's crazy they were cooking HD2 for over 7 years taking so long that the game engine is no longer available

2. Pick up an item that causes a special animation (For example, a sample)
To fix it, pick up the SSSD again, and drop it normally by switching weapons/using the drop menu
I had it happen each time I used ballistic shield and did something like stim.

Okay I actually busted a gut when he belted out the “made in Tien Kwan” bit.
I kinda miss the TCS missions. They looked so cool, seeing all the silos link up, and hearing the tower groan as it rose.
It was nice to see something new, but they were a little tedious
Did not had time to admire the view with, you know, LOTS of bugs on our asses.
I really enjoy how involved the devs are with the players, especially from a narrative stand point. Really enjoying the game. A showcase of whatblive service games should be. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
It's really a case of taking the good with the bad.
The core gameplay is extremely solid, the fast and active "live service" parts are great, and most things that go wrong aren't game-ending, but they are definitely cutting a lot of corners to make it happen. The balancing and weird bugs are so all over the place that I'm pretty sure they just don't playtest stuff, beyond making sure that the game starts up. I just hope it doesn't come back to bite them in a big way, eventually.
(E.g., there is no shot they wouldn't have spotted something as obvious as Shrieker corpses consistently bugging out the collision physics and one-shotting people if they bothered to play at least one full operation with them)

I really hope they expand on mechs, allow players to customize their mechs with different loadouts and mods. At the very least, I really hope they give us the dual auto cannon one from the first game. That one's my favorite.

I think the best part of the suit is because its likely a clipping issue that makes it detonate the missile in the hitbox of your mech is that if they just turned it into an internal ammo fed tube with a display number like the minigun located ON THE FLAT TOP OF THE MECH it might fix itself.
then again it does go hard on the aesthetic of tractor turned tank so its not too much of an issue.

The unbridled joy and boundless excitement of Jay piloting a mech is one you cannot match.
It's still wild to me that the battle suit occasionally blowing itself up because you moved the wrong way while firing rockets was a *bug* and not a *feature* that they patched out.
Immediately died of laughter from that instantaneous ordnance failure
I mean in the first game there were the hive tyrants who were basically the bug overlords. They were giant worms who all had individual names and were revered by the rest of the Terminids. You can even find their molts on many a bug planet where the hives become dense.

my first time dropping on Malevalon with some randoms, dudes were cool but the bot spawns were either broken, or else we just coincidentally hit like there high command. Extract comes around and we're getting one shot by rocket devastators, I get reinforced, land behind a building and can see around the corner what must've ACTUALLY been over 100 bots of different types pouring over the hills, swarming the extract zone. SOMEHOW, two of us managed to fight through the horde and make it to the shuttle after we we're effectively forced off the landing site by the bot horde.
There rumor, that Malevalon has bumped up difficulty due to it's legendary status in community.

Happy birthday man. Side note meteor shower ruined a mission one time, we had to hold out until the extract came and we had no reinforcements then it started raining space rocks, safe to say we didn’t last long.
Meteor showers are so 50/50. Had a time where they saved so much time because they cleared out bases for us, then others they wiped out our team.

Happy B-Day! Your present is a tip i recently discovered: You can stick a stratagem onto the head of a Charger (I found when he rears before a charge best) so you can kill 3 chargers with 1 EAT drop. Also, blue strats follow the beam while reds do not (might be bug).
