  • HOW TO FIX Acrylic Paint Pens that are NOT working! Trouble-Shooting for Posca and Acrylographs!
It delights me immensely to provide you with the following advice for getting started with Acrylic Paint Pens. Because both Posca and Acrylographs are paint markers, you can use them on a broad variety of surfaces, which is one of the reasons why I enjoy playing with them so much. Additionally, there is such a vast choice of colors to choose from. Acrylographs, on the other hand, have been known to provide some challenges from time to time, which is why I thought it would be beneficial to compile a list of useful hints and suggestions for using and maintaining your acrylographs, BUT these also work for other paint pen brands!
I know I mention this a lot, but paint pens are really amazing because of the versatility that they give; they can be used on a wide variety of surfaces, not just paper, which is a huge plus! The following is a list of materials on which I have tested them: card stock, glass, wood, primed canvas, linen, faux leather, chalkboards, porcelain, rocks, laminated plastic, matte picture paper, some glossy papers, and even egg shells!
In this video I also show you the inner workings of the paint pen and why its important to SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE them!

I try to rotate the barrel in between a few shakes to make sure the ball is touching all sides, (or most) . The paint pools in different spots when it’s been sitting, so I find turning it helps. Great video! Very helpful! Thanks!

My wife has just spent a fortune on three new Posca pen sets but many dont work, even after shaking. I don't think brand new pens should need messing around with to make them work. Any suggestions?

Just an idea, but to help viewers see the light colors on the white page (the mint greenish color I think), you might wanna try to dim your light (if possible ) . I know it seems to go against our instinct 😂 but it really helps when using white paper bc it reflects the light so much it’s hard to see light colors. Thank you for all ur time and effort on this. It’s really been helpful. I’m just starting my “marker journey” 😂so this is great knowledge to have

Thank you, super helpful video. I got a bunch of Acrylographs, did a swatch and put them away. Now half of them have dried out nibs. ugh. Wish I had taken the time to clean them all before storing.

Oh that’s so good to know you struggled too! They sounded so fun and then just store dust! Which is infuriating! Hopefully you can use to the video to deactivate them!

@@MyInnerCreativevideos Yeah, dust collectors. I saw the new glitter pens from them and had to seriously restrain myself from buying them. Just too pricy for what I get out of them. Although I really want them, I love all things glitter!

@teabean7 I’m right there with you! I want to buy them so badly but have had to contact A&O for replacement pens 6 times this year.

I have 3 different brands, 2 are almost unusable, and one set is great, but half of them flood and it’s SO FRUSTRATING

Hi thanks for the tips, it worked. But i also have a problem with UNI’s white paint marker, the oil-based one. It leaks around the tip/nib and the tip is dry. What can i do to fix it?
And yeah btw- the posca brush also hah, i’ve tried to have it standing in a glass of water but no…. And i can’t see if the brush is removeable

It could be my age, eyesight or just the color I now dye my hair but, I couldn't find the auto theme generator. I'm up for a scavenger hunt though. 😉
