    I have a tip I received from Golden Brand paints for reviving acrylic paint . You can add water as well as a few drops of household ammonia . Acrylic contains ammonia so it’s safe to add it to revive thick or dried out acrylic .

    Great video may I ask is glycerine the same as a extender?

    • @ilove2paint
      @ilove2paint  10 месяцев назад

      Hi! It is not, glycerin is a solution like oil used for soap or many other good things, but acrylic paint can be actually be messed up by oil related solutions. Mediums are polymer based, and in fact some are the base where the pigments are added to make the acrylic paint. Will a bit of glycerin ruin your paint? Probably not but I do not recommend it. Thanks for visiting!

    Here an idea I do all of time if my acrylic paints almost turn poopy. I add two to four drops of water and work it for a bit then I put the bottle in coffee cup on top of coffee mug warmer (I like to drink tea when I paint I'm Irish) let it sit for a few minutes and shake the bottle. But one thing what bottle name "medium" called

    • @ilove2paint

      If the paint still leaves a stain when touching it, you have a chance. If the paint feels like plastic, and is not soft or at least a little moist... you need new paints, sorry.😕

    I had a pot with a lump of blue rotten acrylic paint. I poured the stinky water out, scrapped the globby bulk in a blender, added some acryl binder, a bit retarder, a few drops of ammonia, and a little bit of acrylic medium in it, shook it for a couple of minutes in that blender and voila...the 30-year-old paint was like new.

    Acrylic paint over metallic acrylic silver paint? Won’t stick!?

    • @ilove2paint
      @ilove2paint  Год назад

      If it is rinsed immediately while wet, it doesn't dry on it. However, I'm not sure what silver paint you mean? The metal is actually metal, unpainted, but same thing, get it wet to rinse and the acrylic paint will dissolve. Thanks for visiting!

    using normal tap water can be dangerous (for human health)?

    • @ilove2paint
      @ilove2paint  7 месяцев назад

      well I guess it depends where the person lives, I suppose? But mostly, tap water can mold inside a closed paint bottle, so, it is recommended to either boil some, wait to cool and add, or get from a water jug. Unless the full paint will be used soon. Same for Gesso, unfortunately
