- (AUDIO) A good example of late 70's reggae sound system, before the 80's dance hall style.
Most UK sounds were playing roots reggae before the 80's. Jah Shaka was the real roots master who stayed true to his roots from the 80's when dance hall was the norm.
2024 listening from 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼 Zimbabwe Africa.
Who's still listening to this in 2023? Tune Cah get old🎉❤fire 🔥 🔥 🎶 🎵
ORIGInAL SOUNd. FROM. JAMAICA ❤❤❤❤ ONE. LOVE.
Yeah him and the late great Shaka
Still listening to dub music 45 years later one love
Yeah saw him in Clarendon in Hammersmith 79 banging
I lived Hammersmith those years too 😊 memories too Sweet ❤
I used to watch them sounds loading in the Clarendon when I was young house of joy quad boxes,I was mesmerized ❤🇬🇧

Good old days never thought i hear that sound again wow coxsone one bad sound system
Lloydie Coxsone seh! The only place left for him to play is
Albert Hall??? He would grace any where this tape proofs it for me best sound ever !!!!!!
A lot of brothers and sisters are not around anymore. Me was bad boy syndicate, juggling massive money mon grew, I miss dem times
My first big dance was a Coxsone dance at St. Giles community center in Camberwell 1976. This tape just transported me back in time.
🔥❤️ amazing
This reminds me of Caxton in Clapham North around 1974 to 76. The good old day🎉
I was 16 sneaked out with my friend to go living in Deptford..get licks when I sneaked back in wouldn't change a thing Coxson the history.
Sunday mornings will never be the same gain! Duuty bassline, wicked mid-section heavyweight tops killer DJ. Murderous sensimilia, nuff Special Brew and the wickedest buzz to go kick ball on Hackney Marshes. Jah Guide and Bless Heart of Love
Collin you were there man. One Love.
Coxone sound was awesome in the 70s I heard some tunes that were never released or I've heard since. One tune by Royal Rasses it wasn't Humanity or Kingston 11 which Festus played in Georgian club in East Croydon and 4 Aces. I've tried to investigate about the tune but to no avail. The other tune was either Augustus Pablo or Bobby Kalaphat on melodica with a lead guitar riff in fact Denzil who in my view was one of best mic men from that era was the one to play that particular tune. I was 16 or 17 when I used to listen Coxone in 4 aces on a Wednesday night which finished in the morning. I had college Thursday morning that's what I call bleaching. Trust me those days were so good it's hard to explain. Got to mention Pebbles aka Marvin Jones who was originally with Sufferer sound and left to be the mic man Coxone.
Did you visit NOREIK Seven Sisters Road Tottenham??
Was the tune world of fools a cut to San Salvador
Blessings Coxsone was something else the 70s and early 80s the setting up running wire's double bass boxes as a youth/yout, watching then the testing of the sound how I miss the atmosphere proper tings No slackness the odd scuffle with the gate man but proper tunes ah drop, deejays ah gwan then the trode home discussing the night with your spars lol 😆 always enjoyed Coxsone, again BLESSINGS
went on the opening night went Tottenham royal first
Hello brother I remember 4 Aces Kingsland station is built along its foundations if you didn't know the gentleman in their fine locks and men in the most outrageous colour suits standing and posing outside the under the lamplight . I was a skinhead and we followed the blasting sounds coming out of the night in someone's house/flat getting closer and feeling the bass . Knock on the door ! Corridor stairs hallway cramed only room in the dance room the like the rest of the house was very foggy hahaha . What days . Changed from skinhead after to many were following NF so I became a suedehead . 🇬🇧
Coxone sound will never be the same without blacka and festus at the control pure old school memories. Ranking dread is wicked on the microphone. Every sound in England wanted to be like sir coxone sound there standards were so high fresh dub plates and pre release from Jamaica before anyone else.
Some True words spoken 👊🏽 my brother and friends started there Sound in 1978 Because of the great Sir Coxone back then👊🏽🏆
