I like this idea for the average truck owner ,you can load your trailer on the ground then pull the trailer up ,would need some weld on tie down hooks to secure your loads
Thanks for the video!!!! I'm looking at getting a setup using the switch and go but I'm torn between getting an NPR and a 550. Could you give the specs/description of your truck please? I'd really appreciate it!!
@@WesleyAllenNC well..I hadn't finished the video before I commented so you kinda already went over alot of them. LOL. A video of you showcasing the 550 and explaining why you chose it would be cool though.
Hey Wesley, I was wondering how the Chassis holds up to weather (Rain, Snow, etc) around the 10:53 you see some wiring exposed, and the electrical motor especially. How do you keep it dry in inclement weather? Or if the dumpster gets soaked after heavy rain, etc. Any issues?
Yes we later installed / fashioned a small plastic cover for those wires. They never really got wet since the truck was either covered or had a bed on it. Without the bed they were exposed though. The truck has now been parked outside for the past 6 months or so (sometimes without the bed) and no issues so far..
Yeah it’s pretty easy to load. Also, the tailgate is long and swings REAL wide on this thing. I don’t use it daily so I can’t really attest to its longevity and real-world abilities. It’s just being used for weekly metal dumps currently
@@WesleyAllenNC appreciate the response! Hopefully someone has designed a dump bed that's capable of doing so. Just set your chains and open the gate should be a very easy bed to make. I know dump trailer's have this feature but wasn't sure if the switch n go had it as well. Thank ya much!
@@jj-eo7bj The dumpster/can comes off the truck. I’m asking what size it is (how many yards) That’s not a trailer you tow a trailer I don’t see no towing going on here.
I would say it appears to be a 10 yard maybe 15 max ,,,if you pay attention he plainly called it a trailer therefor it’s a trailer when you off load and reload the can it becomes a trailer
Great video
love the way you make your videos very well explained keep it up man🙏🙏
Hey thanks! I really appreciate that
Thank you so much for great! explanation, thank for sharing
Pretty sweet setup

EXCELENTE IDEA Y EXPLICACION, MI AMIGO, ME DISTE LA IDEA PARA HACER MI NUEVO EMPRENDIMIENTO..!!! MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS
Great review
Super cool, thanks for sharing!
The rollers are a good feature. Other brands grind the rails up and down each other
This seems like a pretty heavy-duty setup. Very cool though
Very thorough and helpful! Do you know, how long the dump bins are and how many cubic yards?
Great video, question, can you haul a 20 yard dumpster and what the max length of can you can carry, thanks

That’s an awesome set up! Would it be able to fit on a 6 3/4 bed?
How much does a set up like that cost?

Nice system is it easy to load I was looking at hook lift trying to compare the two systems

How much did you invest into this system
Looks like Brookfield. Made a ton of $$$$$$$$$ turning in mongo there!!
Hello Sr. I am trying to biuld a roll off system in to my truck could you please share the information we’re you get your truck done thanks 🙏
Damn!
This might work good for roffimg contractors how much for the set up do you instal these where rum located
Hey buddy it's a metal container or dumpster, it's not a trailer!! But very nice setup!!
Haha thanks for pointing that out!
Great video I want to ask how long is that trailer bed on that f550 to accommodate the switch and go hoist system?
Can you tailgate spread stone on a driveway with these?
Not with this particular bed since it’s either fully open or fully closed. I’m not sure if there are any other attachments for this application

Do you need a cdl for this setup.
Not for this setup. I would check your local laws and regulations though
I heard these hooks are heavy and take away from all the towing/loading weight.
1300 lbs for the base system with winch, add can then you’ll have your payload
What are the black vent on the back of the cab
How much are systems? I'm debating on with trailer or system
Honestly I can’t say. This truck is one we use at our workplace and was purchased by the employer.. if I can find out I’ll let you know!
Is hooklift better from switch and go
Never used one but I would think so.. Hooklift doesn’t require a winch and seems to be a bit more robust / functional
@@WesleyAllenNC thank you
How much??
Hey Wes it’s a roll off container not a trailer
Haha your exactly right!
I am thinking about getting one and putting it on International CV 4x4 I own a lawn care Business do you think. It is worth the $$$ spent
Your probably better off towing a trailer for lawn equipment (I’m guessing). This trailer tilts at a very high angle when loading and unloading.
Will this work on an f350 truck?
Gvwr will be the killer
What’s the size of the can?
@@WesleyAllenNC yes the roll off dumpster.
@@WesleyAllenNC ?
