    Great video! I am wanting to do a jeep tour in Jordan in stay at one of the hotels in Wadi Rum Village. I am not sure of transportation to the jeep tour meet sight since I was told no taxi or uber in Wadi Rum Village. How did you get from your hotel to the jeep tour meet sight and transportation back to your hotel. Any info or suggestions will help.

    • @danielazziptrips

      We stayed at a Bedouin camp in Wadi Rum itself, and I would highly recommend doing that - I personally think you're missing on a great experience by staying at a hotel as opposed to their tents. The place we stayed at was amazing and I left a link in the description in case you would like to stay there too. We had a car, so we drove till the point they told us. I believe you could negotiate with them (by contacting the camp you're planning to stay at up front) to pick you up wherever taxis can take you to, or at least give you instructions on how to get there if you don't have your own transport. Hope this makes sense and apologies for the delay!

    Is lunch provided? How much was the 4x4 tours and for how many hours?

    • @danielazziptrips
      @danielazziptrips  Год назад

      I have to confess I don't remember how much exactly we paid. This was also in 2020 so I am sure prices have changed now. You got the name of the camp on booking.com in the description of the video. Click on the link and message them as they will give you the exact prices. They did provide the lunch for the tour and it lasted the whole day (we left after breakfast and came back for a traditional dinner). Hope this helps!

    I want to visit jordan, can I tell me what is the rules to fly a drone here?
    Please thank you

    • @danielazziptrips
      @danielazziptrips  2 года назад

      Hi there, I recommend you do your own research as I only know the situation back in Feb 2020 when I visited. At the time, you could not bring your drone to the country unless you had a written permission for it which was quite difficult to get. I personally didn't. If I would attempt to fly with my drone to Jordan, they would confiscate it at the airport. The guy I met that had a drone was able to take it with him as he came from Israel and crossed the border by car. That being said, if someone would ask him for his written permission and he wouldn't have, they would have confiscated his drone straight away.

    Hey not sure if you mentioned this and I missed it but where did you guys leave your car when you went to the camp??

    • @danielazziptrips
      @danielazziptrips  3 года назад

      Hi Fatima, I am actually not sure if I mentioned that in the video as well, but there is a parking spot in Wadi Rum Village where you can park your car and meet the Bedouins who will take you to the desert. It's actually pretty hard to miss it as you go through the entrance of the desert (where you have to show your documentation) and then right at the end before you get to the desert, you will find the car park. You can also find it on Google Maps ;)

    I write this realizing that this video series is 2 years old so maybe this is something you've already addressed in future uploads. I enjoyed this entire Jordan series. It is quite entertaining. That said, it is also frustrating to listen to. The music you've chosen is enjoyable but it is too loud relative to the on-camera voices. And even the volume of the voices varies significantly from one clip to the next. This leaves viewers cranking up the volume when trying to understand what is being said, and then getting blasted by music. Intelligible audio is the most important part of any video where there is speech. It is important to match the dialog levels between segments. If the segments are from different locations with different conditions, it may be necessary to do this by ear. This is especially true when there is wind noise. Wind noise always throws off automatic gain matching. A segment with music and no vocals should be no louder than the vocals in other segments. Having music playing softly underneath the vocals is okay if the speech is clear. If the speech is already unclear, any music underneath it just makes it harder to understand and probably should be faded out completely.
    Recording your adventures and editing them into something interesting can be hard work. You've done a great job. Addressing the audio issues will make your uploads even better.

      Hi Timothy, thank you so much for your feedback and for watching the entire series, despite the audio issues - it means a lot to me! I have to agree 100% with everything you said. This was the very first series that I created here in the channel and that was a feedback I got from plenty of different viewers. I was using a microphone with the wrong adaptor so in the end, GoPro didn't recognised it and this entire series was recorded with GoPro's built in microphone - not the best specially when you lose your voice. The editing program I was using had its limitations, the voice over microphone was kind of crap and even though there were workarounds to minimise the impact of that, and still get a good audio experience, I was also lacking the experience in video editing in all sorts of forms. I definitely still have a lot more to learn, but this has been something that I have been addressing on my videos since then and I am grateful for the feedback so that I can evolve over time and create better, more enjoyable videos! Hope you're having a great weekend ☺️

    Sound quality terrible. Too loud or too soft. Lots of wind noise.

    • @danielazziptrips
      @danielazziptrips  Год назад

      You're totally right! At the time, I thought my external microphone was working as I didn't know I needed a GoPro adaptor and was using a regular one. I have since got the right one and got better at adjusting audio post production so you can tell the difference in future videos. Hope you got something out of the video nonetheless!
