Stopped at the calas de mallorca complex for our first holiday abroad, was a bit dated but clean and the food and entertainment were great.
I do enjoy a visit and walking around the cliff edge.. great views
I was here a few years ago its a lovely and quiet area with some amazing walks may return one day soon we also visited Porto Christi happy times☺

Been 8 times staying at Tropicana beach club . Just beyond where you went unfortunately. Second cove over from the Americas. Was hoping to see the night club on the main street going down to the big steps onto the Americas cove Tropicana being across that beach and over the low cliffs. Was looking because couple of people I know just gone to the Romani.
Must get my passport renewed lol

Yes started going back in 1990.
Tropicana Beach Club used to be part of Pontinental taken over by a company who s name evades me then RUI. We went via Thomson. It's probably 10 years since I last went . Bungalows set out in large grounds . Fantastic hotel with mixed nationally guests.
Met Fiona Major-Ball there (John Majors Niece) Spent a lot of time with them. Quite surreal having people come up asking "what does your uncle think he is doing".

H Andrew Me and the wife stayed at the hotel eurocalas in 2019 that you were sat outside of at the beginning of the vid, Would really recommend it its a 4 star and the food was amazing for an all inclusive.

It doesn't look like this now. I'm staying at the alua sun now in calas de mallorca. The beach bar has gone, the sunbeds are mostly gone, the beach stinks and is full of seaweed. Very disappointing visit to the beach. The far beach called cala Domingo is better.
Stayed here last year at at Samoa Hotel. Have already booked for next year. Very clean hotel and excellent value compared to others on island. Food good. Caters mainly for French and Italian and Brits are in minority. Suits me as many Brits cannot handle alcohol! AS Andrew said the town area lacks TLC but was fine. It is a little remote and buses cannot be relied on because there are not many and if they are full they cannot pick up. Better to book a coach trip to Palma and have a guaranteed seat.

cracking walk round , the beaches and the sea look amazing , i was just wondering do you have good knowledge of where hotels are ? we are going to be staying at the Aluasun Cal antena and im wondering is it close to where the shops , Bars and Restaurants are ? Thanks in Advance .

It's nice there the other side of palma and property is a good price..a quiet area but a pleasant place to live.

Over an hour driving, it’s not an easy place to get to, it’s on the east coast
I’d love to do this beautiful walk Andrew, but preferably on a cooler day, those steps from the beach look a killer in the summer heat!

The season finishes on Halloween so middle of October you should still be ok,,restaurants will probably be on a smaller menu,,
Have you ever been to punta prima....was looking at going there but not sure.....Hurd it's very quiet and the beach isn't very nice???any info would be useful cheers mate

What happened to the beach bar and sun beds? I wemt today. The beach is a mess, it's untidy with seaweed and it's smells so bad. There is no bar and only about 8 sunbeds. Very disappointing. The hotels next to the beach, which are alua calas de mallorca and canarios Park should do something about it. Scenery is lovely but the beach is a mess now.
