Very Nicely done thank you for your hard work sirs
Enjoyed this Mark, watching from the UK and didn't know much about Rainy Lake. It looks like an awesome fishery.
Excellent video Mark 🎣🎣. Pike on the fly rod is, is my favorite. Back in England 🏴 we manly court them, using dead baits, drifting live baits or plugs & spoons. Then got into fly fishing for trout, a close friend. Should me how to catch carp on a fly rod 🤪 , next up was Pike. Haven't turned back since 🤘😃
Great!
Nice Mark!!
My hometown!
Watching fro Utica, NY.
Great vid! Digging the norther pike and smallie fly action!! Got a question tho, is there any specific reason you opt to use a loop knot on your titanium tippet to attach the fly versus using a snap?
good question. the open loop or non-slip mono knot is ideal for flies that "move" because the knot does not impede the action of the fly when moving in the water. snaps can work and some people like them. unfortunately we've seen snaps bend or break when large pike take the fly. however, there are better quality snaps on the market these days and you should try them out. if they are "open" enough, then they should allow free movement for the fly
@@newflyfisher awesome, thanks!!
Blah, another non salmonid episode.
