This is the first video of "The Basics" series. I will be releasing at least one episode every week strictly about Angular v6 fundamentals. Let me know what you want to see next :)
The cleanest, most direct-to-the-point tutorial in YT. All Codes. No UNNECESSARY FACE shown. I wish you get more subscribers because you really help a lot. Thanks man! More power!
Well done good sir! This made me feel not so overwhelmed. Every other video has rabbit holes all over the place where yours does not so thank you for this
That's the longest stretch since I started the channel. Going to Google I/O slowed down my productivity, but gave me some pretty cool ideas for the future.
Thank you jeff for all the awesome content.. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you because of you I was able to complete a WEBAPP project single handedly using all your technique of notification, roles, authentication, star rating, reddit style voting system etc. Its a Repo of stackOverflow with more advance feature.. Would love if you could check it out at askme-6801b.firebaseapp.com UserId: zahid@gmail.com Password:Welcome123 Or take a tour at askme-6801b.firebaseapp.com/tour Love. Zahid
Could you please put 'The Basics' into a playlist so that it is easier for us to download when you add more videos. Kindly consider titling the video for example "01 Angular CLI - The Basics", this will make it easier for us to download and follow offline. Data is a bit expensive in Ghana and I mostly follow your tutorials offline. Thank you Jeff :)
Awesome series. I would like to know what kind of music style is this, used in intros and finishing the video? How can I find a track like in the intro? Or at least something similar to it.

Right in the beginning you talk about a "Web Framework" and that Angular CLI was better than most of them. So, whats a web framework? I thought that term referred to things like angular, underscore, react, etc. and not to a scaffolding tool, I understand Angular-CLI to be. Also I would like to know, why I should do all those things you describe. I, personally, feel uncomfortable if a tool does everything for me. I don't know and understand what happens in the background, so my foundation for further development is not very sound. You say "you really need to know how to use CLI, before you can use Angular effectively". That is more or less wrong. Actually you need to understand, *what CLI does*, to use Angular effectively. Telling people, knowing CLI well was a requirement, is more a diversion than good advice. I'd prefer to know how to incorporate Angular in my new or existing projects in a compehensible way. Sometimes I ask myself, whether companies (like Google) publish tons of different tools for the same task just to drown the average developer in so much stuff, he will never be able to actually efficiently code, but has to configure five different package managers, scaffolding tools, IDEs and whatnot, figure out why github is behaving strangely or learn a new technique that ultimately won't take hold.
I didn't mean the CLI itself is a web framework, it just part of the Angular ecosystem. My goal is to build complex products as quickly and reliably as possible and CLI is just one tool that helps - of course you should still understand what it's doing. This video is part of a larger series that covers those fundamentals. The CLI is not designed to "drown the average developer" - it is an almost 100% community driven project (led by non-googlers) and probably the most universally well-liked tool by Angular devs.
