  • I performed at R&B legend Jerry Butler's 85th birthday tribute concert, with the TFO Orchestra, at Bert's Warehouse in Detroit MI, Saturday 12-7-24. The TFO Orchestra is led by Drummer/bandleader Ronnie Nelson who himself is a world renown music icon, having been in the music industry since the early days of Motown. Ronnie also brought background singers "The Ladeez," who are exceptional performers and artist in their own right.
The show opened with singer Napoleon Demps doing his excellent renditions some Sam cooke and Johnnie Taylor songs. He was followed on the program by Detroit's own blues legend, Priscilla Price, who wowed the audience with her music and medleys. Spyder Turner then thrilled the audience with his renown hit song "Stand by me." Finally, Joe "Pep" Harris of the R&B group The Undisputed Truth took the stage, and walked the audience through Jerry's most popular hits from his 7 decade recording career. The show was truly befitting to pay homage to R&B legend Jerry "The Iceman" Butler.
