I'm guessing the sets will not likely reappear. I just went ahead and ordered the same Bernat softee Cotton regular, and baby in Golden, Soft Plum, and Cotton. My daughter likes the shrug you made with the main color being Golden. So, I'm gonna make the centers light plum, the petals Cotton, with Golden as the main color. I just ordered the yarn from Jo-Ann, and I can hardly wait for it to get here! I love this blanket so much ❤. I have never made something so beautiful. And, I've never made granny squares. But, your tutorial makes it look doable for me. You are a great teacher! Thank you 😊
Edited to say: I ordered 5 skeins of Golden, 3 skeins of Cotton, and 2 skeins of light plum. Haha! I hope I did the math correctly, as I'm hoping for a blanket about 3'x3'. The baby is already 6 months old; plus it will probably take me a good month to make it. Hopefully this size will last her a few years It's just so very precious. Thank you ❤
I ordered the yarn from JoAnn (for the 10 skeins it came to $38.00 with tax and shipping in the US). I think I'll be able to make 64 flower squares, and hopefully that will make the blanket about 36'x36'. I will definitely come back here and let you guys know how it turns out. I'm just so excited for the yarn to get delivered so I can start! I've never worked with the Bernat Softee Cotton yarns before. I feel like I'm really going to like the way it feels. I don't love the way 100% acrylic feels. I do love the way 100% cotton feels though. I'm thinking the 60% cotton with 40% acrylic will be really nice and soft. I will let you know how I feel about the yarn too. I have never crocheted anything like this at all. My grandma taught me to crochet when I was about 6. But I've only crocheted on and mostly off during the last 50 years. And mostly really simple stuff. I love the way you instruct ❤. And I love that you go nice and slow, and that we can clearly see what you're doing. I really feel like I'll be able to do this! Yay!
