With Chalcis demonstrating the success of setting up a new Greece on Italy, other city-states were not far behind. Still in the 8th Century BCE, moving towards the 7th, many other poleis got in on the action, whether by state decree or intrepid individuals. In this video we see Corinthians, Achaeans, Megarans and more sending out ships over the Ionian Sea to the land which would eventually become Rome. This is the boom of expansion which led to Southern Italy & Sicily to be called Greater Greece...
