G'day Hunter I like the way you fish and I've just read a new blurb from fisheries that if you get onto a patch of juvenile jewfish they're encouraging us to move ...
Good stuff, I was wondering about fishing around that area, I will give it a go. as for bait, yep, good old mullet and gars do well, obviously live is better, but as dead baits in bits, its good.
The commentary around 25:00 was a nice touch mate, would love to see more meterys landed in the future, what's your opinion on those big fish being less common now?
Thankyou for feedback 👍. I think it's making a comeback the 36-70 slot limit seems to be improving things and people are more educated. Good chance of landing a meter+ this year. See you on the next one mate.
Fantastic video as alway. May I ask, have you moved from the Lake Mac area? Only asking because I was learning a lot from your content around Swansea and wider environs. Keep up the great content even if it is Brisbane based. DH
35 secs after you posted it appeared lol. looks like a top day out. lovely bream but if i had a choice would go the snapper as bream take a long time to grow. Why do you like snapper over bream? Healthy bloody fishery we have these days, if you ever need a deckie so you dont loose the large ones gimme a yell :)
They would shit if they seen last fish pikey bream 535mm I got lol yer got the pick split ring system used on a motor oil minnowz. Plus assists hooks need every bit.
Mate! Broke my heat to see that big one get off! As a suggestion, when I fish big livies up here in Cairns, I use a Running Snell Knot. It is adjustable so you can have the second hook exactly where you want it and it doesn’t affect the way the fish swim. Works on Barra and Mangrove Jacks a treat. Make sure the sliding hook has the eye off-set. It will help. The end hook can be tied any way…I use a Uni Knot. If the live bait is too small, slide the second hook a metre up the line and try a slab bait… Tight lines! 👍😀 ruclips.net/video/7WwbVJFqmMM/видео.html
That's a pretty cool rig be interesting to see how much pressure the slide can take before moving. I have tried all sorts of rigs over the years. The big girls (flathead) can be smart follow the bait and shy off if they see a hook. So I went back to a single hook and always got more hits. Seems they get smarter once they hit 80cm+
Gun video. Love watching video’s on Brisbane water as not many are made. Don’t stop mate 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
First time I’ve watched your channel. Nice work mate, I like your enthusiasm and you throw some back. Good on ya, from Bingil Bay.

Mate , what size you leader ? Great video , keep it up .
15lb for bait fishing 20lb trace for the big live baits. Thankyou mate 👍

I prefer snapper to much cleaner nicer flavour. It's a great estuary seems to keep getting better. It can get tough fishing solo thankyou mate 👍
I learnt to fish in that area 50 years ago - there and Narara Creek (West Gosford) & I am still at it.....
is this Hawkesbury?
Close Brisbane water
are there many garfish in the B/water area as i live in the area and would like to catch a few bait and to eat.
Yes all protected channels will hold them. Just throw a bit of bread in wait for them to appear 👍
Abt boys be looking for the tissues.

Good video mate, what days were u fishing?
Thankyou, Saturday-Sunday
@@huntersfishingadventures5324 allgs ,oh yep what sounder do u have?
@Bmfishingaus lowerance 7hd I'm due for a upgrade soon
@@huntersfishingadventures5324 oh okay is it not good?
@Bmfishingaus it's works great anything under 40mtrs. So good for the estuary side scan etc.
Hey man do you know the size limit of those mullet? I caught heaps ranging from 20-30cm and a real small one but dpi makes it confusing
I think they are saying under 15cm for livies and for eating they need to be 30+
That is correct mate livebait needs to be under 15cm or over 30cm bit of a silly rule.
@@huntersfishingadventures5324 cheers theres heaps of mullets in the systems now good fun on the light stuff
If you can keep them over 30cm to eat you can keep them for livebait. I believe the rule was there because there was protected species of mullet
They are great fun I still love mullet and gar fishing
hey mate what will be the best boat ramp for thats location thank you
Lions Park at Woy Woy it's a good ramp 👍
thank you mate love watching your videos@@huntersfishingadventures5324
