A little bit of Buggles trivia, if you watch the original 1981 video, there's a guy playing the keyboard near the end that is wearing a black jacket that is unzipped almost all the way. He's standing in front of a wall full of electronics. That guy, that guy is Hans Zimmer. THE Hans Zimmer.

Horn created some of the most important music of my lifetime and showed me, as listener, how someone's tenacious reach for perfection is almost too good to be true for a listener. The ABC "Lexicon of Love" album is my example -- there are few things in the 80s more jewel-like and perfect than the outro of "All of My Heart." I was 15 and just stunned by music for the first time. Very hard to replicate that experience. And the guy can PLAY. Thanks from the USA, Mr. Horn.

Much of Trevor’s production work involved ground up song restructuring and instrumentation. His musical fingerprints are clearly evident in the stuff he produces.

Thank you Trevor - I have always loved your work, writing, performing and producing. Since I was a teenager when you originally released this - and then your ztt work - I was mesmerised as I and friends listened and tried to take apart the art of noise; propaganda, and of course Frankie … we had a deep interest in “technological music making” synths/ recording /
Acoustics but also a deep interest in classical music - so the musical depth of arrangements always shines through your work - underpinning attention to every little detail from vocals, percussion, synths, etc down through the arrangements - although you are a master of creating a big sound it is always with deft understated use of each element - eg your bass playing is a delight - always appropriate, musical, but doesn’t upstage any of the other elements. You always leave air for the texture to come through, and the elements have their moment to shine, or as is said when performing Elizabethan counterpoint - singers need to let each part “make its point”. It is always imbued with such musicality it all stands the test of time and will not be forgotten, will last long after fashions move on to different things. Well done . Looking forward to your future performances and output. Keep well and thanks for so much thought provoking entertainment and pleasure.
