The devil may say information that appears on surface to be an accurate piece of information - but it isn’t truth, it’s just because it’s part of a greater deception. John 8:44b “… for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.“
The only True Teacher is Christ Jesus. And the only pure and Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. He never lies, errors, mispeaks, or speaks wrongly. I've never known a man who was perfect in all His speech besides Jesus. And I've never known a perfect spirit besides the Spirit of Christ.
If you have the Spirit of God from Jesus Christ, He is the Spirit of Truth. He shows you which religious teachers are speaking the Truth and which are lying. And sometimes He even shows you which part of a teaching is True and which part is false.
I fully agree with Pastor John and from personal experience add that false Christian pastors never deny the Scriptures but always add something to it such as the authority of their own church or doctrine or another inspired book or authority of a lieder. For them, the Scriptures alone are not enough, Jesus Christ is not enough and God alone is not enough but must be helped by man!
Good stuff. Yes, they almost always have something to say that is Extra-Biblical (not found in Scripture). They claim to have some great revelation from God that has only been given to them (and sometimes to their fellow "prophets"). The people who are drawn into this, usually, are those who don't see the Scriptures as sufficient. They think that more is needed. The problem is, Christ has already spoken, but they don't love and cling to the Words He's already said. Here we are in 2023, and these fools are getting really slick. The only way to test what someone teaches, is to know the Scriptures yourself. The only way to be a Berean, is to know how to rightly divide the Word the Truth. I am dealing with dear friends right now who are clinging to every word that a particular pack of false prophets have spoken. It's been disappointing, embarrassing, and downright devastating to witness. They are so convinced of their words, even when their false prophecies don't come to pass. (Jeremiah 23:21)
Some things I see about the falsies is that there is always something other than the glory of God and/or the magnification/exalting of Christ that is the main aim. They direct the eyes of the heart somewhere else than to the Lord. Whether it be money, trying to sell you a book and DVD set, flesh show, puffed up look at me I'm super spiritual so follow me, I have special revelation you can only get from me, etc. Always something other than our Lord is the real underpinning aim.
Second Corinthians 4:6 Psalm 18:39 "You armed me with strength for battle; you made my adversaries bow at my feet." “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.”
The name of this video should trigger a few people in the comments section 😜 Some are too quick to cry false teacher. John Piper makes some good points here.
Yup. Too many people are trigger happy with saying, “he’s a false teacher.” Most of those people ain’t got nothing better to do but make slanderous videos on RUclips and want to label “faith Bible ministry.” 🤦🏽♂️
There are people who are not able to attend a brick and mortar church for various reasons, the saddest of which is religious persecution, so they have to rely on the Holy Spirit as well as online teaching, therefore they cannot get to know a preacher in a personal way, ((fruits) but through the wisdom of the Spirit..
The way this is explained is very different from the way I actually see people applying this knowledge. Usually a False Teacher is someone who disagrees with the person making this discernment on two or three points. BUT... The people to be really afraid of are those who say everyone else is a False Teacher besides themselves (or people who say this one person is the only true teacher.)
Those are just wrong teachers, majority of Christians know not to mix with those. False teachers are more subtle in misleading believers by wearing sheepskin, examples are prosperity gospel, word of faith, gnosicism, Jehovahs Witnesses, Mormons, Judaic Christians, etc.
I am deeply troubled by the question of attending Sunday church. The fourth commandment says to “remember” the sabbath as if it could be forgotten and looking into this I see that the lords day, Sunday, is not the sabbath. Going deeper still into the establishment of religion I see that they were instituted by the RCC, the beast. How can I attend when this may grieve the spirit?
Christ was raised on A Sunday (most will claim). So we gather to worship while also establishing a day of rest in the new covenant on Sunday as the old covenant would be Saturday. Maybe someone else can elaborate more but that's the short of it.
What is the RCC btw? Would like to help you with this question. Does the Bible at any stage link the remembering of the Sabbath with church attendance? Some people gather with the saints on Tuesdays for bible studies, others have worship evenings/prayer sessions on Fridays. It's not clear to me that Sunday attendance = Sabbath observance. This is my perspective atm
@@bmills-qf8zy old and new covenant? It’s the same God. He does not change. Jesus died because we did not keep our covenant with Him. He came to fulfill the law, to save a wretch like me
You'll find entire books being written on this question but I suggest being careful here. Not with the question but when a group of believers present most of their focus on one single biblical topic and claim, "We are the true church because we believe _________ and all others churches be damned because they don't believe ___________!" This introduces a doorway to being led into scary situations like "You shall obey Pastor ___________ because he has been appointed by God to be your earthly ruler!" Besides, I could ask about 500 more questions in addition to this one we are not following in most churches. We push away sinners when Jesus never would. We put focus on and we meet in buildings when the early church had no way to meet in buildings, let alone fancy ones. Churches are constantly being separated by some title where as the early church was only divided by location. In the early church believers shared everything to the point no one had possessions of their own. We have given up meeting on a daily basis. We sing hymns that did not originate in the bible. We idolize money. We would cringe at the thought of a prostitute joining us were as Jesus helped them repent. On and on and on and on and on and on. And I guarantee, the weight of any issue is going to be weighed by the scales of that person's own personal convictions and say, "LOOK! THE BIBLE SAYS...." and the next person will counter "YES BUT, THE BIBLE ALSO SAYS...."
You have to be doctrinally adept. I would say YES, STOP LISTENING TO FALSE TEACHERS. They heap on you stones of burden rather than stones of relief. They seek out men to put under them and not men to come alongside. They do not want brothers, they want subordinates. They do not want conversation, they want authority. They have no way to separate you from Christ, but they deal spiritual damage that is unhealthy for those who are chosen according to the word of God.
Under our apostle paul’s ministry, today we are only saved by BELIEVING The Gospel of Jesus Christ,1st Corinthians Chapter 15 verse 1-4.Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, and rose again on the third day.Jesus Christ Shed Blood is what saves you when you believe this plan of salvation with your heart.
In regard to this, I have been hearing from pastors that teach “rightly dividing” that the Gospel specifically came to the Gentiles exclusively from the book of Paul(Romans to Philemon) and that the remaining are to Jews, while the 4 Synoptic Gospels are the “Gospel of the Kingdom” meant only for the Jews of the day entering the final days if not for their rejection of the Messiah. There is an aspect I agree with in regard to how Christs command for Paul to preach to us as Gentiles was really the beginning of us being ministered to specifically, but there are also things I struggle with in this doctrine because I just dont think we can state there are separate Gospels for Gentiles & Jews(at least in the future tribulation) like they try to say. Its difficult for me because I know there is an aspect of Truth as to dividing the Word in regard to audience but it starts to become muddled for me after that.
That sounds either Paul Onlyists and/or Dispensationalists which I know a few. I personally don't take dividing the word to that level. The important thing to me, is CONTEXT. A verse like "repent and believe" out of context can mean nothing and anything, but put it in the context of who is saying it, who it is being said to, and when, and you'd do well. If you're listening to someone who don't do these things, you're not hearing God's word, but that person's word. Also given the events of Acts and Paul's and other's epistles, I think it's fair to conclude that both Jews and Gentiles are saved by Jesus Christ by His Grace through the means of trusting in Jesus and his victory over sin and death.
@@HenT8991 I agree that we can conclude that Jews along with Gentiles are saved by the same means of Grace. Iv just heard from many under this doctrine that Jews in the future will in a way revert back to the Law during tribulation and this is the mindset they want their congregation to be in when reading verses in Hebrews to Revelation based on the fact that the books address the “12 tribes” etc. I agree with them in regard to audience when it comes to the Gospels & the New Covenant of Grace, but even then Jesus had parables & teachings that alluded to His deliverance of Gentiles as well(Matthew 21:43 is Jesus talking about Salvation being handed to Gentiles) So I cant just state that the Gospels were “not addressed to me” as they want us to believe. So although there is a distinction I still think both are meant for the believer, but as to the distinction they put between Pauls letters & Hebrews-Revelation I think its borderline heretical to claim Peter, John etc taught a different Gospel than Paul.
@@ricoparadiso I would agree with you wholly Rico, if you read the gospel of John, the author specifically states the purpose of writing that account is to let the reader believe. To me that's foundational stuff, teaching someone the gospel so they may be saved. This is just personal hypothesis, but I think the reason why people think there is a distinction on the manner of salvation between jews and gentiles is folks get confused by the audience being addressed. A Jew who knows the law and as lived under it all his life has a vastly different perspective than a gentile who's worshiped Zeus and Hera all their life, and has barely heard of Jesus, let alone the Law, and the Prophets which testified of Jesus.
It's simple. A lot of churches preachers Jesus Christ but then says follow this way.. What is the this way..? 1) False tongues 2) slain in the spirit 3) False prophecies 4) declaring and decreeing 5) fire tunnels 6) pleading the blood of Christ on travels, material goods and people. 7) grave sucking 8) visions and trips to heaven and hell 9) personal physical encounters with Jesus Christ 10) encounters with Satan 11) binding Satan. 12) calling/activating angels 13) speaking into/over things 14) false doctrine of generational curses 15) boasting about casual chats with God. 16) prosperity gospel 17) leaving home to cook soup for terrorists in some jungle (David Platt). Social justice. 18) false miracles (Todd White) 19) false giving of the holy spirit 20) false casting out of demons The list is long, these were just some off the top of my head. At Peter said..they secretly bring in destructive heresies with the truth.
Exactly. if you don't know that God WAS inside Christ Jesus.... how can you possibly know the Truth of God? You don't. If you don't know that God was inside Jesus Christ, that God spoke over Jesus from Heaven saying "This is my Son, hear Him." And if you don't know that Jesus IS the Lord God, one with the Father, the very incarnate Word of God made flesh, and if you don't believe He was sacrificed for your sins, dead, and was raised from the dead, how can the Truth of God be in you? How can you know God if you don't know that God was in Christ Jesus? You can't. And you don't.
My only issue with this advice is that Matt 7:15 says "beware of false prophets..not false teachers" A false prophet is one who claims the gift of divinity or prophecy. Arguing that the apostles are the only authorized teachers of the "correct" doctrine or way of thinking is a misinterpretation of that verse. The point is that you should watch for false prophets while also keeping your mind open to different ideas so you can make up your own mind and discern the truth.
I am meeting with some ladies each week this week the leader of the group wanted to share a podcast teaching with us by Mike Parsons I did not agree with some of the teaching I think it does not line up with scripture. Do you know anything about his teachings?
It is very easy to detect a false preacher if you truly possess the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ. Anyone who is not constantly informing believers that they need to learn how to overcome sin and sickness in this lifetime by allowing the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ to sanctify their heart in God’s truth is definitely a false preacher and they are simply a deceived soul who will only lead you astray with their lies. Most do not realize that Jesus trained his twelve chosen disciples for three years before they became His apostles. An apostle means someone who is sent, a messenger. Many also overlook the prayer that Jesus made for His disciples in John 17:6-19 where He asked His Father to sanctify His disciples in truth. So the disciples had to be sanctified in truth before Jesus could ever use them as His apostles, His messengers. This is why only God’s appointee messengers are allowed to explain scripture on His behalf since they are now someone who has been sanctified in His truth and they have God’s blessing to do so. Realize that a sanctified disciple can no longer sin and because they can no longer sin they can never get sick since sin and sickness is strictly of the devil. This is why Jesus and His sanctified apostles could heal people of their afflictions since they possessed the power of God to cast out the demons that bring sickness and disabilities. “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.” James 3:1-2 NKJV God did not instruct us or command us to explain scripture to anyone but yet most are foolishly believing that it is their duty to win souls and to lead others to Jesus. Many believers do not understand that the Great Commission was for God’s chosen disciples who were trained by Jesus and who were sanctified in God’s word and truth. It was not meant for every believer of Jesus Christ to teach and that is simply a lie that is being fabricated by the devil’s many false ministers. Many of these believers are being led astray because they have been deceived by the ending verses of Mark 16:9-20. “Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:14-18 NKJV This above scripture is a little similar to the ending scripture in Matthew but what most do not understand is that this scripture was never in the reliable original manuscripts and that the gospel of Mark actually ended at verse 16:8. Do a little research and you you find that the church leaders who were preserving the original texts before the printing press was invented added Mark 16:9-20 to make it more in line with the other gospels. They felt that Mark’s abrupt ending did not seem quite right to them and so these monks or scribes took it upon themselves to insert Mark 16:9-20. They of course based their addition on what their theological views or opinions were during that time and so this means that these verses were never something that was commanded to us by God. The same thing applies to John 7:53-8:11 and to John 21. These were all verses that were fabricated by mere mortal men and all you need to do is to research this information to validate that this is a proven fact that I am relating to you here. Realize that the Bible is a book that was put together by mortal men and there are over 2,000 different versions that all have different translations, meanings and interpretations. So if there is only one truth from God and the rest is all lies than which bible version is actually the correct one? Guess what, none of them are since there are certain untruths that are written in all of them. Only the original written scripture is God’s actual truth and so you cannot believe everything that you are reading in the Bible. Do not get me wrong for the Bible is a valuable asset and I read it daily. I am simply making you aware that there are certain untruths that are written inside this book. This is why we were commanded to learn scripture directly from God through His Holy Spirit and this can only be achieved by understanding how to test the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4. The vast majority of believers have never been sanctified in truth by the Holy Spirit and so they are not qualified to explain scripture to anyone nor were they appointed by God to do so. This is the reason why the majority of believers are nothing more then children of the devil since they are blaspheming the Holy Spirit and condemning their souls in the process! They are willingly spreading lies with their misguided beliefs about scripture since they were never taught scripture by Jesus nor have they been sanctified in God’s word and truth. Most believers have no concept of what it even means to blaspheme the Holy Spirit since many of them are doing it daily and they are condemning themselves with their own misguided words. God is Spirit and His words are His truth. Blaspheming the Spirit means that you are then blaspheming God’s truth. Jesus was relating truth to the Pharisees but the Pharisees would not accept it since they believed that he was from the devil. It was not only because they stated that Jesus had an impure Spirit that condemned their souls as most ignorantly believe. It was also because they would not accept the spiritual truth that Jesus was relating and so they were speaking against the Spirit of truth which is the word of God. “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63 NKJV There are very very very few of us who have been sanctified in God’s truth. So if you are one of the many here on the internet that are posting videos, relating dreams or you are even trying to explain scripture to someone in your comments then all you are doing is spreading your misguided beliefs and you are lying. Now if someone then believes the lies that you have written then you have now lead that person into sin and clearly most do not realize the consequences of leading others into sin. “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!” Matthew 18:6-7 NKJV “Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” says the LORD, “and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all,” says the LORD.” Jeremiah 23:32 NKJV There is only one truth from God and the rest is all lies that are being fabricated by the many who are lost and deceived. God’s word was never meant to be debated. You are either someone who is sanctified in truth and you truly understand scripture or you are not. Overcoming sin can only occur by understanding how to test the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4, so if you truly desire to cast the demons out of your life then you need to learn how to overcome your sins through testing the Spirits. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” I John 4:1-3 NKJV Many will read this above scripture and think that this is talking about an individual that you may encounter who is a preacher or whatever and that is totally incorrect. It is talking about testing the thoughts and questions that run through our minds since that is where the Spirit world exists. God is Spirit and once you accepted Jesus into your life He now dwells inside of you. It is now possible for you to communicate with Him in your Spirit since His Spirit and your Spirit are now united and they are one. This blessing is available to every believer as long as they have not blasphemed the Spirit of truth and this is how you go about learning from Jesus in order to cast the demons out of your life by overcoming your sin. “But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.” 1 Corinthians 6:17 NIV
Well I think about my piano teacher who I'm currently studying with at University her name is doctor Spitzer she's famous in town the fact is whether she's a false teacher or a true teacher is somewhat irrelevant because the fact is being around her I have learned plenty of very valuable things her presence brings value. Whether I am always in agreement with her or not

The Bible is the truth, if someone is flashing you something go straight to JESUS for the answer. His answer will come from the Bible. GOD doesn't reveal to all everything. JESUS ROCKS!!
That moving or active background or screensaver is really distracting. I'm glad that there isn't any real reason to watch or focus my attention to the screen. I look at something else while listening to these valuable lessons and sermons.
I feel as if this explanation is too simple because pastors today have gotten so good at deceiving those who don’t read their bibles. Or those who don’t understand the Bible as a whole piece and not taken out of context.
There are some groups and organizations so clever as to disguise their beliefs and behaviors to the general public and its harder to discern. Unfortunately people get sucked in by the false narrative. Look into IDMR….
The Gospel of our salvation is not found in Mat, Mark, Luke or John. And how could it be, the Cross was yet future. The Grace that saves us was revealed to Paul.
Would God forgive false teachers? Ones that found out they was teaching false teachings.? And repented? Like they thought they was teaching sound doctrine.. But mistaken?
Would God forgive False Teachers? If they believe on Jesus Christ, yes. Would God forgive a believer teaching false doctrine? I would say by my understanding of Jesus' covenant and salvation by Grace, yes. They won't be thrown into the lake of fire, or die the second death, but they may lose out on rewards reserved for teachers, or believers in general. Some examples...like Brian pointed out, we can't forget Zealous for the law Saul, the Pharisee of Pharisees who Jesus later came to himself, and spoke to Saul who was afterwards referred to as Paul in the bible. A more questionable (to some) example is Simon the Sorcerer in Acts who beguiled an entire city with his sorcery until the Apostles came. And it says even Simon the Sorcerer believed and was baptized (in water presumably). Where the problem for many come in, is when Simon Peter shows up and Simon the Sorcerer makes the error of asking Peter how much money to buy THE GIFT of bestowing the Holy Spirit onto people. (He did not say he wanted to BUY the Spirit itself, key point). Peter rebukes him harshly, but fairly and says he has no part in this (referring once again, to the MINISTRY/service of laying on of hand and imparting the Holy Spirit onto believers, and that he should repent/change his mind of that evil thought in his heart and pray unto God. Of course the last we know of this is Simon's words where he asks Peter to pray for him. My conclusion..I don't dare to underestimate the power of God's Grace in Christ Jesus. Certainly everyone should not seek to sin so grace may further abound. Simply put, God is gracious, and puts a responsibility on those who would teach. I do not advise one to teach on the word of God on things they are not settled on, and thus commit a sin in ignorance though it is forgiven by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
Yeshua turned over the authority to bind false teachers to the disciples. If a false teacher offends a disciple, than forgiveness has to come from the offended disciple. The Most High won't hear your request otherwise:)

A false gospel excuses lukewarm Christians and reassures sinners that they are still saved. Jesus taught that obedience is required to enter his kingdom. The only way to overcome sin is by the power of the Holy Spirit which we recieve when we are Born Again. Scripture says: Colossians 2:11: "and in Him (Jesus) you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ," Jesus removes the flesh nature and we lose sinful desires. Not many people believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to enable them to be righteous and to live righteous. If one is not born again they cannot enter God's kingdom. Ezekiel ch 44-9 "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: No foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh is to enter my sanctuary, not even the foreigners who live among the Israelites." Those who struggle with sin do not have the Holy Spirit. They are still under the law because they deny the power of the Holy Spirit and they will be judged by the law. They are trying to control their sins on their own because they don't believe that Jesus removes the flesh nature when he baptises us with the Holy Spirit. They deny that the we can live without sin through the power of the Holy Spirit, who is able to free us from the bondage of sin itself. Their unbelief in the power of God to deliver them is one reason why they will not receive salvation. The free gift is not given to everyone simply because they asked for it. It is only given to those who believe.
@@commanderchair Maybe there are, I suppose I will concede that, but the ones that I have met personally and spoke to, and some who are the reasons why we left our church, left me a bit dubious in that regard. The kind of venom that comes out of the mouths of some of these people can't possibly have Christ at the center of their thinking; some of them remind me of a pre-conversion Paul who was so zealous over his own idea of God that he was willing to kill for it.
@@lawrencestanley8989 I don't deny that some people will believe whatever they feel is "right" and when presented with scripture pointing opposite will just bristle and ignore it. I'm not a fan of that either. But the fact remains is that your first comment was a blanket statement that everyone who doesn't fully believe and accept Calvinism is not a Christian. Now you are starting to back pedal on it. There's a big difference between being frustrated that someone might not accept biblical truth in certain areas of the faith vs making a judgement on everyone's salvation and stance with God because they don't accept a secondary theological stance. I am personally someone who believes in reformed theology and think that every Christian would know and experience God more fully if they would too...however I cannot deny I have friends who disagree with me based on their interpretation of the Bible, but live Holy Spirit filled lives on mission to save the lost, in which I have learned a lot from.
@@commanderchair You said: *"But the fact remains is that your first comment was a blanket statement that everyone who doesn't fully believe and accept Calvinism is not a Christian."* That wasn't what I said. The title of the video is "how do we discern false teachers," and my suggestion was to start with those who deny and attack what today is commonly called "Calvinism." If they are attacking that, then they have obviously left the truthful teaching of scripture - whether or not these same individuals are Christians or not, maybe some are, maybe some are not, but I never made a blanket statement that ALL who deny "Calvinism" are not Christians; only that they are a good place to start to find false teaching and false teachers. You said: *"Now you are starting to back pedal on it."* I am not backpedaling on my original statement, I am merely conceding that not all who attack "Calvinism" are lost (which was not my original statement); I just have reason to suspect that some that I have had interactions with are not, but, of course, that fact is between them and God. You said: *"because they don't accept a secondary theological stance."* The theology of God is a secondary theological stance? John Frame would disagree with you... Look friend, I honestly don't care about John Calvin, I never have; the only reason that I associate myself with his name is to separate myself from American Churchianity that so commonly infects churches here in North Georgia where I live, and asserts itself as Biblical Christianity, but is not. You said: *"I cannot deny I have friends who disagree with me based on their interpretation of the Bible, but live Holy Spirit filled lives on mission to save the lost, in which I have learned a lot from."* WONDERFUL for them! My complaint comes from... Well, let me just give you a name; it's cliche, but it will give you a picture - Steven Anderson. OK, I do not know the man, and I'm not talking about him personally, but I have met men just like him who accuse me of heresy, tell me I'm going to hell, tell me that I am taking scriptures out of context, and the only joy they seem to get is not from the Spirit, but from explaining all of the different nuances of why "Calvinists" are evil.
@@lawrencestanley8989 My bad for assuming your intentions from your original statement, should have asked more questions to understand what you were trying to say. I will say that those who het heated about people believing calvinism are just in the wrong than vice versa. I have experienced a lot of friends including myself being in the calvinism cage stage in which I only wanted to talk about calvinism and debate why the "arminians" are dumb and don't want to submit to scripture. God has worked on my heart a lot since then and I still believe the same things but I have seen others who follow God very faithfully disagree with me on this issue which is why I'm calling it a secondary belief, meaning you don't need to accept and believe it to be saved. I certainty did not when I first became a Christian. I would normally assume that false teachers are not children of God and are not filled by the Spirit, do you think that a Christian can be a false teacher in the way the Bible describes them?
Deuteronomy 13 and Deuteronomy 18 are quite clear on who will be a true prophet of YHVH and who will not. Those who promote YHVH's Torah are to be held up and respected as a prophet from YHVH. Those who don't hold up YHVH's Torah are definitely NOT one of His prophets. Jesus held up His Father's Torah: “Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. Amen, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or serif shall ever pass away from the Torah until all things come to pass. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever keeps and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:17-19 Paul help up His Father's Torah: "Since God is One, He will set right the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. Do we then nullify the Torah through faithfulness? May it never be! On the contrary, we uphold the Torah." - Romans 3:30-31
Truth be told, there's no such thing as a Woman Preacher. Women don't Preach by the Spirit of God. They preach their own understanding and quote bible, but they don't Preach. The Holy Spirit does not use Women to Preach. They Prophesy, speak in Tongues, and teach women and children. But to Preach is a Spiritual Activity of the Holy Spirit that He only uses Men for. Ask Him why. For example, a Woman CANNOT ever Preach, Teach, or Interpret 1 Timothy 2:12 correctly. If they try to Preach this passage, or Teach on it, they Error and do not Practice the Truth they are trying to teach or preach. They will says things like "That was just Paul's writing", when in Truth, it was the Holy Spirit saying that, not just Paul. Any woman speaking by the Holy Spirit will never misTeach 1 Timothy 2:12 and lie against it. That's why there's no such thing as a real Woman Preacher, Preaching by the Holy Spirit.
Spoken by a false teacher himself Look up: John Piper's son Abraham He fell away from faith But since he grew up in a Calvinist church: - isn't he part of the unconditional elect? - Didn't God predetermined this guy to be saved? If you can't spot the irrefutable inconsistentcy of your theology you got a problem...
*“Everybody says true things from time to time - even the devil. But that doesn’t make them reliable teachers.”*
Pray that God give you the gift of really good discernment in this crazy tricky world!!
If you have the Spirit of God from Jesus Christ, He is the Spirit of Truth. He shows you which religious teachers are speaking the Truth and which are lying. And sometimes He even shows you which part of a teaching is True and which part is false.
I fully agree with Pastor John and from personal experience add that false Christian pastors never deny the Scriptures but always add something to it such as the authority of their own church or doctrine or another inspired book or authority
of a lieder.

You will know who is evil by the fruits they bare
The way this is explained is very different from the way I actually see people applying this knowledge. Usually a False Teacher is someone who disagrees with the person making this discernment on two or three points. BUT... The people to be really afraid of are those who say everyone else is a False Teacher besides themselves (or people who say this one person is the only true teacher.)
There are religions that do not believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, that is false teachings..
Yes Jesus is Lord.. But he is never called LORD. (if you understand the difference)

@@seppukuguru7706 agreed, sabbath was established for rest. RCC is Roman Catholic Church and was the first of many current denominations
@@bmills-qf8zy old and new covenant? It’s the same God. He does not change. Jesus died because we did not keep our covenant with Him. He came to fulfill the law, to save a wretch like me
You'll find entire books being written on this question but I suggest being careful here. Not with the question but when a group of believers present most of their focus on one single biblical topic and claim, "We are the true church because we believe _________ and all others churches be damned because they don't believe ___________!" This introduces a doorway to being led into scary situations like "You shall obey Pastor ___________ because he has been appointed by God to be your earthly ruler!"
Besides, I could ask about 500 more questions in addition to this one we are not following in most churches.
This is how to discern false teachers: fear, guilt, shame and condemnation; the anit-gospel tool straight from hell.
A lack of preaching about repentance and hatred for sin

Exactly. if you don't know that God WAS inside Christ Jesus.... how can you possibly know the Truth of God?
False prophets are not those who claim to have the gift of prophecy.
I am meeting with some ladies each week this week the leader of the group wanted to share a podcast teaching with us by Mike Parsons

I think it does not line up with scripture.
Do you know anything about his teachings?
Nothing like having a false teacher tell you how to discern false teachers

If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.”
James 3:1-2 NKJV
God did not instruct us or command us to explain scripture to anyone but yet most are foolishly believing that it is their duty to win souls and to lead others to Jesus.
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Mark 16:14-18 NKJV
This above scripture is a little similar to the ending scripture in Matthew but what most do not understand is that this scripture was never in the reliable original manuscripts and that the gospel of Mark actually ended at verse 16:8.
The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”
John 6:63 NKJV
There are very very very few of us who have been sanctified in God’s truth.
For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!”
Matthew 18:6-7 NKJV
“Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” says the LORD, “and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all,” says the LORD.”
Jeremiah 23:32 NKJV
There is only one truth from God and the rest is all lies that are being fabricated by the many who are lost and deceived. God’s word was never meant to be debated. You are either someone who is sanctified in truth and you truly understand scripture or you are not. This is why you had better be very sure of what you are believing since there are millions of preachers who are leading many souls astray with their misguided interpretations of scripture. Realize that countless believers foolishly think that scripture is relating that they can never stop sinning. Most clearly have no idea that God commanded us to live a holy and righteous life which can only be achieved by no longer sinning.
And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.”
I John 4:1-3 NKJV
Many will read this above scripture and think that this is talking about an individual that you may encounter who is a preacher or whatever and that is totally incorrect.
“But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.”
1 Corinthians 6:17 NIV

they have ego and a big pride.

The Bible is the truth, if someone is flashing you something go straight to JESUS for the answer. His answer will come from the Bible. GOD doesn't reveal to all everything. JESUS ROCKS!!
A false teacher is someone who will never preach about false teachings, because then they would expose themselves :v
Can you explain further? So, you are saying that there are people who are deceiving others and yet still meet this criteria?
There are some groups and organizations so clever as to disguise their beliefs and behaviors to the general public and its harder to discern. Unfortunately people get sucked in by the false narrative. Look into IDMR….
The Gospel of our salvation is not found in Mat, Mark, Luke or John. And how could it be, the Cross was yet future. The Grace that saves us was revealed to Paul.
How do they make their money? Do they preach for free like Jesus or do they get rich by it?
Would God forgive false teachers? Ones that found out they was teaching false teachings.? And repented? Like they thought they was teaching sound doctrine..
But mistaken?
Like he forgave Paul?
Yeah like Brian said. Paul was pretty much a Taliban Zealot in a lot of ways. God powerfully saved and forgave him.
No he would not forgive them since they have blasphemed the Spirit of truth with their lies.
If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.”
James 3:1-2 NKJV
God did not instruct us or command us to explain scripture to anyone but yet most are foolishly believing that it is their duty to win souls and to lead others to Jesus.
The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”
John 6:63 NKJV
There are very very very few of us who have been sanctified in God’s truth.
And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.”
I John 4:1-3 NKJV
Many will read this above scripture and think that this is talking about an individual that you may encounter who is a preacher or whatever and that is totally incorrect.
“But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.”
1 Corinthians 6:17 NIV

What about being justified by being a Friend of God? Even the devils believe
A false gospel excuses lukewarm Christians and reassures sinners that they are still saved.
Jesus taught that obedience is required to enter his kingdom.
The only way to overcome sin is by the power of the Holy Spirit which we recieve when we are Born Again.
Scripture says:
Colossians 2:11: "and in Him (Jesus) you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ,"
Jesus removes the flesh nature and we lose sinful desires. Not many people believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to enable them to be righteous and to live righteous. If one is not born again they cannot enter God's kingdom.
Ezekiel ch 44-9
"This is what the Sovereign LORD says: No foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh is to enter my sanctuary, not even the foreigners who live among the Israelites."
Those who struggle with sin do not have the Holy Spirit.
I would start with those who deny and attack what today is commonly called "Calvinism."
There are people who are saved and genuinely know God even if they don't agree with the 5 points of Calvinism.

Maybe there are, I suppose I will concede that, but the ones that I have met personally and spoke to, and some who are the reasons why we left our church, left me a bit dubious in that regard.

You said: *"But the fact remains is that your first comment was a blanket statement that everyone who doesn't fully believe and accept Calvinism is not a Christian."*
That wasn't what I said.
You said: *"Now you are starting to back pedal on it."*
I am not backpedaling on my original statement, I am merely conceding that not all who attack "Calvinism" are lost (which was not my original statement); I just have reason to suspect that some that I have had interactions with are not, but, of course, that fact is between them and God.
You said: *"because they don't accept a secondary theological stance."*
The theology of God is a secondary theological stance? John Frame would disagree with you... Look friend, I honestly don't care about John Calvin, I never have; the only reason that I associate myself with his name is to separate myself from American Churchianity that so commonly infects churches here in North Georgia where I live, and asserts itself as Biblical Christianity, but is not.
You said: *"I cannot deny I have friends who disagree with me based on their interpretation of the Bible, but live Holy Spirit filled lives on mission to save the lost, in which I have learned a lot from."*
WONDERFUL for them!
Jesus held up His Father's Torah:
“Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! But whoever keeps and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:17-19
Paul help up His Father's Torah:
"Since God is One, He will set right the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. Do we then nullify the Torah through faithfulness? May it never be! On the contrary, we uphold the Torah." - Romans 3:30-31
A false teacher is anyone who says something I disagree with, that way I don’t have to engage with their thoughts and can just ignore them.
Duh.
Is Joyce Meyer a false preacher???
