Yeah, Godric pretty much took the spotlight in the second season. It would have sucked without him (vampires and all you know) :).
I wish they did a spin-off series of Godric and Eric's adventures
Same that would've been🔥🔥🔥
Going Wolfenstein in WWII.
Hellya godrric died waaaay too soon
Name of the show, please?
@@kghrhv9296 true blood
Allan Hyde is such a wonderful actor and he was still a teenager when he filmed that scene with Skarsgard. The bond and friendship between the two characters is very believable!
novascot60 how old Was he?
Lea Jensen probably 16-17
@@leajensen2636 He was 19
He was 18 according to the commentary on the dvd's
My partner would agree to having godric as her maker or lestat from queen of the damned
The scene is so powerful. Even now in 2024 I still go back to it.
in the beginning, Godric was the most brutal vampire to walk this earth.
in the end, he had more humanity than humans themselves.
At this point Godric was already 1000 years old, and the fact he decided to take on Eric as a companion says something.
Honestly this scene and the entire godric storyline is one of the most memorable parts of the show for me. A real lesson in less is more. You have this incredible scene juxtaposed with this stark contrasting attitude in the present day. Just a great arc and brilliantly acted.
If vampires were real, I would rather have Godric as my maker than Lorena Krasiki.Godric is a epic vampire and I like how he shows his leadership skills to accomplish goals
Me too
Ofc everyobody would want Godric as a maker, its like saying you preffer pizza to bread
I would have Roman!
Duuuuh, easy comment
ehmm.... I don't know... I am a guy so I would go for lorena.... but then again coming from godrics bloodline I could fly
I liked that there was no music in the scene, made it more eerie. Fitting when encountering a monster in the forest.
IKR! You can even hear the fire cracking ( I think that is the word😅)
there is music
@@BatPierrot I mean like when they were talking to each other there was none. Or at least I didn’t hear it😭
One of the few things done better than the books, in my opinion. He was amazing on screen. Truly.
Godrick started off as one of the most sadistic and savage vampires in history then later became more of a pacifist
Well as humans go, many have terrible regrets about evil things they did in their youth when they get old. Perhaps for a vampire this happens after a couple thousands years instead of a human when they're in their 60s-70s.
I still watch this show everytime I finish it. Give me a few weeks and start over again. I love that ambiance. Would love to be in it
I blame Jesus. Had a bad influence on him.😁
Leave u racist
After years of killing and savagery, there's only so much you can do. He learned so much over the years.
Swedish spoken with a Danish accent sounds so elegant, reminds me of that Skavlan interview with Mads Mikkelsen and Stellan Skarsgård.
Han är Stockholmare, ingen dansk brytning
They’re speaking Swedish? Shouldn’t they be speaking in Old Eastern Norse? As Eric was a Viking from Sweden.
@@bostontowny4life744 Of course they should, modern Swedish that we speak today didn't really come about until like the 1700's, up until then we had borrowed a lot from French, German, Latin, Greek, while also a lot of old Norse and even Finnish (Pojke - swe, poika - fin, means boy) Modern Swedish, or "Scandinavian" in general is similar to English in the way that we both have a ton of influence from other languages. In recent years since like the 90's we've gotten some slang words and loan words from languages such as Romani, Serbocroatian, Spanish, etc. A lot of English as well due to the global americanization, lol.
@@NordicPlan760 Va, hört att han är dansk, lol.
best scene in the series, godrics admiration for erics insane skills is the best
Even though his time on the show was short-lived, he was one of my favorite characters in all of TV fiction. The way he was portrayed and his send-off was brilliant.
Godric was amazing in this show! Wish they would have gone into how Godric was made a vampire and his background story!!
That would be great!
@@billclemons5593 for sure!!
This dude Godric is an epic vampier in true blood I would love to have him as my maker cause this dude is the man
Eric was a true warrior. He lived and died without fear.
“Don’t be afraid.”
“I’m not afraid. I’m pissed off.”
Are you death?
I am.
“My men?”
Godric: “Dead.”
Eric:”You swine.”
Godric balks, then smiles.
“I’d fight you now if I could.”
Godric:” I know.”
Badass.
learn
@@stationary3815 ?
I wish we had more of this Godric before his "reformed" self
Godric used to be so brutal but I suppose after countless years of death and living in the dark, you'd just welcome the end.
I was also always interested in their dynamic, Erik was so broken when Godric decided to end it, I wanted to know how you go from their first meeting to that level of utter devotion.
Eric: I feel a wrath (literal translation)
Subtitles: I'm pissed off
I commented this in another video so forgive me but,
With as little screen time as Godric had throughout the entire series, he is my absolute favorite vampire of them all.
Say this was real, I would have loved to have him as my maker, learn from him & evolve with him just as he did. I believe he was the second oldest vampire in the series, as Russell Edgington was 2800 years old.
I seriously need to read the books because I’ve heard that they’re different in so many ways, but also similar too.
If I ever meet Allan Hyde one day, I’d tell him that the world could learn a lot from his character, Godric. Eric & Nora were blessed to have him as their maker.
This is one of the better scenes!
No joke, Godrics swedish is very fucking good.
Yes it is considering he is Danish and according to the commentary on the dvd Alexander Skarsgard(Eric Northman) helped him learn some of the language
I wished they would make more true blood seasons😫
I would love to hang with Godric he was wise beyond his years and a good maker.
Same!!!! If I could enter the True Blood universe and aim to become friends....maybe even convince him not to commit suicide because that was way too sad.
He was two thousand years old. He wasn’t wise beyond his years, he was just wise.
Oh my Godric... How I love you so! Thank you for making Eric Northman... ❤️🩸❤️
I feel that Godric said the truth when he said he is the oldest but lied that he is just 2000 years old. As he was the humblest and knew he was about to meet the sun. So he wanted others like Russell and the Queen to lead the vampires
I really like that idea. Maybe he had an encounter with evil that made him a vampire. That’s be so cool if that was the true story.
I still feel Godric was the oldest, dont know why 🤷♀️
@@ritashaarora3269 The oldest was Lilltih, the first vampire (10,000+),then Lilit's sirens (8000+), then Warlow a half vampire half fairy(5000+), then Russell(3000+), then Godric(2000+) and finally Eric(1000+)
@@braveandblessed9279 Salome is also 2000ish years old. I’m sure there are still lots of old vampires but they might not be in the US.
What a great show the in the beginning seasons! Then it went completely off the rails as most good shows do!
Best character in True Blood after Eric
Eric : "Are you Death?"
Godric : "...i am."
Death : "Hey, i'm right here, you two misery beings?"
God I miss this series so much still after all this years. It was my number 1 companion back then
I always wondered how Godric would've matched with Russell Edgington and Marnie/Antonia, would've been awesome to see
Russel would've killed him .. Russel was much older
@@ianingram374 wait a minute weren't both Russell and godric the same age? I could've sworn they were
@@AdamWest1290 No, Godric is like 2200-2400 years old. Russell is 3000+ years old. The power difference between the two would be insane, Although I would want Godric to win, I doubt he would be able to
Yes, yes, yes!!!
Yea Godric is 2000 vs Russells 2850 sadly wouldn't even be close@@OAwesomeO
I just love this show
Omg I just had a flashback scene. I didn't watch true blood but i saw that scene somewhere and I was obsessed with the way Godric looked. I saw the thumbnail and it was like a blast from the past, I had to click
This could have been a natural continuation of "the northman" lol
I wanted more Godric.
I forgot his first scene, but I really felt for Eric when Godric “met the sun” later on. Who TF wants to live that long, it wasn’t like Jessica’s teen angst/hormonal attempt at the same. Literature’s always questioned if immortality is a curse disguised as a gift (Tuck Everlasting etc), but I loved how the theme of being sick of living forever impacted this show, especially w/Godric. ❤how the book series author & tv show writers kept the done-2-death vampire genre fresh & more…human/normal. It was Twilight w/sex, swears & way better plot-lines.
Godric should have been the oldest and strongest one
I don't think he had to be the oldest i think he just died too soon
I love this scene.
Not child but son.
Too bad we never found out who made Godric!
We did, sort of, he was a slave for a Roman vampire who abused and tortured him. When he eventually turned Godric he returned the favour by killing his maker. I think this is described in the novel.
I'm here after the new The North man trailer
Impossible to depict a better Gangrel embrace.
What a beautiful moment ❤️ I love true blood ❤️ ♥️ 💖 💕 💗
Godrick was a vampire of peace
The Northman Eric would totally kick his ass.
The best scene from the entire show easily.
I would rather have godric as a maker than sadistic Lorena
Godric USED to he sadistic.. That's the whole point of his character, that he had changed
kinda always wanted to see goderic and eric make out
Fuckin badass
I always imagined Godric being much taller and looking different.
I’m still bitter I wasn’t old enough to be in the fandom during the height of true blood😭😭ik it was a chaotic mess
Wonderful scene.
Godric became the Buddha of vampires
So he was Salubri?
His death scene was him achieving golconda
The supporting cast were the best part of this show
Powerful Vampires in True Blood
Lilith 8,000 years old
Warlow 5,000 years old
Russel 3,000 years old
Godric 2,000 years old
Eric 1,000 years old
The legacy of KAIN Alex , raziel
First thing i saw in these flashbacks was king harald finehair, king of all norway
Godric yessss I’d be his human forever and ever 🙃
Godrick was a mixture of hotness, sexy cuteness and much more ... yummy
Godric's age is not what it seems to be his tats are from ancient Aztecan design which would indeed make him FAR FAR older then a mere 2000 years old.
Celtic not aztec
I thought it was symbols from being branded
@@draaekalonzo2725
Is it Celtic? Ok. Would be interesting to see where he started out.
@@illerac84 Gaulia I believe
@@draaekalonzo2725 Was his maker Roman? A fellow Celt? Something that happened while Carthage was moving through? Many possibilities. Neat!
Had such a crush on Godric growing up
I just figured The Northman was the precursor to this.
Games of thrown or true blood which is better ??
true blood is way more interesting if you ask me
I’m more into Game of Thrones
True blood
Got
True Blood because Game of Thrones was all for nothing. Thanks for nothing to them liars who directed it all. True Blood had a happy ending at least.
His tattoos are cool
I loved Godric in this scene but with blonde hair he seemed less impressive. They filmed the church scenes in a cemetery nearby.
My best friend and I were this close... Of course we are obviously human unfortunately and he is no longer with me... I know he was my twin flame.
Would’ve been cool to see who was godricks maker and how he became a vampire
"Jag känner vrede" = "I feel wrathful"
Instead the write "I'm pissed off" lol, not really the same heaviness
Father sister brother son daughter teach you all I know
2:36
How come after “father, brother, child”, Godric didn’t say “lover”?
Hi I'm Godric but my family knows me as sergio villalobos my friend Donnie who is bill knows me as godric an Sergio I use the name godric as a vampire
Ok...?
❤️
Name of the show, please?
True Blood(2008-2014)
Well this isn't like the book at all! Apius Livius Ocello was Eric's maker, and he also saved the youngest Romanov boy after they were assassinated during the Russian Revolution.
Godric was in the Fellowship of the Sun's church basement and did want to meet the sun because he was done with his "life" and wanted to end his existence. Much smaller role in the books...
This was interesting, but True Blood deviated way too much from the books. Unrecognizable from the books. Just my opinion... even though I really enjoyed True Blood.
And they were roommates
Now I don't mean to be mean but the actor who plays Godric is Danish. I never understood why they didnt just get him to speak Danish and Eric speak Swedish. Godric just butchers the Swedish language. He is just basically speaking danish with a few exaggerated Swedish words here and there...
Know
Virtual ka lang ako JUMPED IN PUROK PURULIN
This so doesn't look like the person who played Godric in the later episodes
ok
KK
Is that nathan GVK🤣
OVER
The fairy thing and the fangs placement not where they are in any other vampire series I've seen were only 2 disappointments that kinda ruined the vampire part and series.
same, it kinda ruined the whole “vampires are a real thing”
The way they hyped him up , I never expected a 2 year old Toddler Man to walk out .
but
Brother sister father son mom bestie lover teacher etc etc maker
Vampires are real
Just because you met your own "Colin Robinson" or "Evie Russel" doesn't mean you met a real Lick.
.
Godric was my favorite character. I mean, he hung out with Jesus…
He didn’t get to meet jesus
👙
klaus it stronger then godric
Godric would fuck up klaus
Godric is 1000 years older the Klause
I love klaus but compared to Godric he's a little boy with daddy issues
@@vivienne2085 I love Klaus but this is true godric is a god and full of peace and strength❤
