We swapped from bins to this method a few months back and it’s been the best thing we’ve done so far. The only thing we do different is we started with “A***” and change to “B***” the next month and so on. Just makes it a little quicker to know what month items were listed so we can reduce price after so long. Hoping to get to 100% STR rate at some point so this will be a non factor. Great video
Thanks! I was so hesitant to switch but I’m so glad I did. Used to take forever to pull orders
That is a good idea also.
4:08 interesting idea! I really appreciate when people experiment and try different things to optimize processes. Curious to hear what your thoughts on pre-packing items will be a few months down the line.
Another great video. I’m enjoying the content!
Thanks for watching! I’ll keep everyone posted. No major issues so far and takes less steps and supplies
Thx for your response. Jeans and sweaters are the bulky things that give me difficulty in folding small.
Hoping to make a photo process video before long and I'll show how I fold most items!
I’m working all summer to change my inventory system! Too many items that get inventoried in the wrong place right now! This is a great video! Thank you 🙏
You're welcome!
For all the 🇨🇦 I ordered my boxes from staples. I have the white plastic shelves for Home Depot and the 10x26x10 fit perfectly.
Awesome!
Love this way of organizing inventory.
Thanks!
Nice similar set up here. I use big plastic bins for shoes though put them in heel to toe can fit 20 shoes in a tote. Side by side was using to much space. Ive been wanting to someone to go straight to the poly bag see how it goes any errors that come up. Its cheaper than 2 bags and faster than putting bag in a bag. Worst case you could always open the end and just tape it if you had to look in a bag.
Yeah less steps is the goal so I’m hoping it works out. No major issues so far so we’ll see!
My issue with bagging it before is that if someone has an additional question or measurement request for the item, you already have it bagged away. Lmk what you think?
I just tell them I can’t get additional information. Once you have enough items it’s not worth the extra time anyway
Those buyers are problem buyers 😂
@@_calebsells honestly so valid lmao
@@_calebsells they’re never the ones who buy too
Yep haha!
Picked up some labels. Tired of using tape. Excellent video.
Thanks for watching!
Great vid Caleb, i have the same exact setup with a little longer boxes. Print out my own SKU labels as well.
Perfect! Yeah I print my own too! I’m at 6000+ now in this system
I'm not into the consolidating part so I give every box a number or letter and numerical order them in that box. When I put items away I put what box they are in on the sku.
So when you list new items you replenish the empty boxes?
@_calebsells Yes. May not be the most efficient but it works for me.
Nice set up Caleb, I have one similar to yours, but not as much inventory though lol, I'm new to the re-selling and slowly building my inventory
Great to start it early on and build the right way!
Thank you great idea. Just ordered those cheaper boxes using your code.
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks bro! Another good video. I’ll be creating one of the same but my system is a tad more complex.
Cool! Curious to see it
I have a similiar system. My boxes are higher, though. I think I like the low ones better because you can see the numbers better. I end up marking the boxes, which makes it a lot more time-consuming to consolidate the inventory. When you put the items directly into the mailers, do you use plastic bags at all? Also, are you abe to pull off those stickers and notes before mailing? Just curious!
No clear bag when I go straight to the mailer. And I just cover up the sku label with the shipping label. But even if you didn’t, it wouldn’t affect anything being on there
@@_calebsells Thank you, Caleb! I really appreciate all the information you provide and always with a smile. Have a great day!
Thanks for all of your great content! Do you find that 10x13 poly mailers handle all of your types of clothing? Also, is your unit temperature controlled? I'm expanding into using my non temp controlled shed, but worry about mold if kept in plastic bags.
95% fit in 10x13. I hang bigger items and have 12x15 bags if they don’t fit
Nice organization, Caleb. But are you sure its 60sf? Looks way bigger than that? Looks like at bare minimum you've got 150sf there
The way I have it laid out is more but the actual shelves take up 60sq ft. Probably didn’t explain that very well
@@_calebsells ohhh haha yeah, what is the actual size of the storage unit? 15x10 was my guess
The half woth the clothing is 20x10 but the whole unit is 20x20. Way more than what I need but had to get this size to have lights and an insulated door
@@_calebsells well sheeeeeeeit pardner you got a lotta land there
Wide angle camera!! 😂
Caleb, this is also how I do my inventory, since I sell mostly clothes. But how do you get your inventory pkgs so small??😊
Lots of practice on how to fold each type item to get it small haha
Personally I like to have the reassurance of storing them in clear plastic bags just so I definitely know that that’s the item. I’m gonna ship out, but I am no expert.
Yeah its scary at first but I never open the plastic to really check that thoroughly anyway so well see! I'll keep everyone posted as time goes on.
What crosslister do you use? Pros and Cons. Do the clothes take on a plastic scent?
Never had a complaint of the plastic scent. I use autoposher to crosslist. There’s a link in my description to get a discount. I haven’t found any cons for autoposher yet tbh
Where do you get your sku # sticker labels ? Do you separate Postmark inventory from Ebay ? Do you cross post onto multiple sites ?
I print them myself but I linked some in the description.
I store all of my inventory the same and use the same system for eBay and poshmark.
I cross post on eBay and poshmark usin autoposher software.
How many items on average fit in a box? Thanks
I would say conservatively 16 on average. If it’s all polos I could do 40+. If it’s all jeans maybe 10-12. I used 15 per box in my calculations for the video
Thanks!
The price I see on amz for the boxes is for 25 boxes pack right? Thanks !
Yep!
I have a question on returns do you pay for that or does the buyer?
The buyer does for my store
@@_calebsells thank you. Helps so much
This is waaaaay too professional for me!
No one has ever said that about me 😂
@@_calebsells I pop 🍒’s
