I love how simple and down to earth your channel is! So glad I stumbled across it. Your love for Jesus and family is the ultimate bonus content! Happy to support you ❤
I just started reselling and have been praying on it a lot. Your video was suggested and I'm so glad it was. Thank you for the information and not being afraid to praise God for your accomplishments. Looking forward to your content.
I understand your message about comparison. I appreciate you sharing. Competition and drive are also positive attributes. Nothing wrong with examining ones efforts against those who are successful.
Man I got emotional when you shouted out Jesus Christ. My relationship with him means everything to me as well. God bless you my brother. Congrats on all the success, Wishing you a prosperous 2024
Thanks so much for sharing this! As a new part-time reseller in southern Ohio, it's helpful and motivating to hear the journey of someone who's been so successful. So glad you've found a job that can provide for your family but also allow you time to focus on what's most important. Encouraged to hear you attribute your success to the One who gives all good gifts, brings purpose, and enables our efforts. -Laura
Great insight into your full time business. I hope to get to your level someday. Not trying to compare, but just more of a goal to reach! Thanks for providing us this insight!
That’s what it’s there for! To inspire and encourage! Love your positivity in the comments on every video and on others videos. I really appreciate it. Let me know if you need help on your journey
Awesome video man! Just got another subscriber. Thanks for the breakdown on everything. I resell part time and wanna take this to the next level this year. Appreciate the transparency and congrats on your success these past years in your business. Keep up the great work 🤙🏾
I just started following you and I’m a year into reselling on eBay. Lots to learn. I will continue watching your videos, as I appreciate your help and advice. As well as your shout out to Jesus Christ!!!❤
Hi few questions. Do you thrift daily? Curious what do you do with your time after you complete your 30 listings? You might have video on these I'm newer to your content. Definitely see people doing the best numbers doing 40 hours but I just don't know what to do to to get to that many hours. Monday is usually my longest work day with getting out shipping 24 items over weekend for 1 hour or so shipping, then I thrift couple hours because its near the post office. Then do photos and list 15-20 over couple hours. 5 hour day. Then my other days are usually even shorter ship on Monday, Wed, Fri. I usually end 100 listings fix titles, reprice old items and sell similar. 1400 listings at the moment. 50% is probably stuff I wouldn't get now so its process of clearing out the dead weight.
Sounds like the difference in our work hours is it takes me a lot longer to find 150ish items a week and also I’m going slower on certain things making content. The numbers in the video I did a lot more retail and online arbitrage last year. Doing 95% thrift so far this year. I find it to be better margins and less capital intensive. I’d rather keep my money on hand than in retail products if I can make the same net profit
@@_calebsells ok yours are probably higher value and sell thru as well because you make lot more too. Im only listing 15 or 75 items. I try to hit $15 profit items on mens, womens clothing and shoes.
@@_calebsells probably should have been obvious but had realization. 30 items x25 profit per is 750. I do 15 because its what I heard lot of people do but at 15 profit its only $225 so if Im sticking with 15 profit items I should be listing 50 daily to get to the 750. So time isnt that important as the numbers are.
yeah to me its not about hours its about output. I'm pretty set on working 40 hours these days so I can balance family. But I'm trying to keep increasing what I can do in 40ish hours.
First things, greattttt job, such an inspiration. Second had a question about taxes. How many different states did you have to send payment to? and can you do maybe a video on how you did that? Thank you in advance.
Just found your channel and love your content. Starting to ramp up my own Ebay and excited to follow you. Can I ask what you use to keep track of all of your numbers in one place? I haven't found a user friendly spreadsheet and need one before I get too far behind on it. Appreciate you!
Good stuff..... I am feeling the frustration you mention with amazon right now lol we are going into 2024 looking at revamping our entire business model because of all the costs of doing business on Amazon
@_calebsells the return rates for us are not terrible as we don't move much in the clothes and shoes categories on there but the margins are killed by all the fees and things in general ......most people don't realize where all the money is going unless you really watch the numbers ..... we keep a pretty close eye on our numbers and knowing what kind of hustle is took to do $800k in gross sales on there in 2023 then seeing how little was left after returns and fees was pretty disheartening.... we love the reselling game may just pivot to keep more of our money in our pocket .... keep up the great work the transparency is needed in the reselling game
Yes sir! Also the cost of inventory for eBay is less so I have way better cash flow and have my money tied up for less time. Unless you want to do 2-3mil on Amazon I think eBay is a better small business. Good luck in 2024!
Caleb, newbie here, did you start off with a store right at the beginning? How many items did you have listed on average in your first year to make over $100k gross?
I got a store once I got over 250 items. I didn’t track my listings my first year but I only had 500-800 items in my store at the most. But started from 0 so a lot of listings at first
Caleb! Always got good vibes from you and now I know why! Love the shoutout to God! Yes thank you, Lord! It's amazing what you've done in such a short period of time. Also, the fact that you were a stylist totally makes sense to me now. That's why you pick up such cool clothes to sell!
What’s an estimate of what you’ve paid in taxes the 1st yr you did reselling ? I’m trying to see all the expenses associated with selling before I start.
These are realistic numbers. Everyone pays taxes. If you get a job with a 60k/ year salary you pay taxes and get less. If you work for 15/hr you have to pay taxes.
@@_calebsells many people that ask me about this side hustle and all think it's money in the bank! Most people with full time jobs you pay in per paycheck but you would be surprised how many people I meet quit after the first year because they didn't think about ALL of the expenses.
Inspiring Video Caleb. love the videos. Love the shout out to Jesus. He’s very very close to me as well 😊 I’m part time. maybe will bring it up a notch and try for seven a day. seems hard to get that much inventory. I think I may have to do a few road trips lol
I went full time around 8 months in. By that point I had sales daily with around 600 listings. It’s all different for everyone and depends on what type of items you’re selling. I focus on high sell through rate items so I can move items quickly.
Great video. The best part was the ending. Jesus Christ is everything to me as well. That is why you are being blessed. Keep Him first. Blessing brother

How do you keep track of all these numbers? Just track them with google sheets?
Quickbooks
Awesome job , just found your channel . New sub !

Glad you liked it
First things, greattttt job, such an inspiration. Second had a question about taxes. How many different states did you have to send payment to? and can you do maybe a video on how you did that? Thank you in advance.

For the state tax, the selling platforms keep track of that for you so you shouldn’t have to worry about it.

Can I ask what you use to keep track of all of your numbers in one place? I haven't found a user friendly spreadsheet and need one before I get too far behind on it. Appreciate you!
I use quickbooks for bookkeeping. I don’t do inventory spreadsheets because with thousands of items it takes too much time IMO
How do you keep track of your gross income sales on Facebook and other platforms since they don't calculate it for you
I just look back through my cashapp PayPal Venmo and Facebook accounts
Awesome job man!! Where does your Ebay inventory come from? Do you buy wholesale or anything like that? Thanks for the great info
90% or more is from thrift stores these days
Love the hat!!! Where did you get it from?
Malta apparel. I got an insta ad 🙈 had to have it

Great video! With your current margins, how many sells per day on average do you need to have to sustain that income?
Somewhere between 15 and 20 items per day. I’m currently listing 15 but will be bumping that up as time goes on
So where did ur listen goal end up at the moment? Like how many a day are u doin now
I’m doing 15 right now. Looking to bump up to 20-25

Awesome numbers. New sub here. Do you have a time structure to your day to keep you productive? I keep getting distracted etc.
Every day I work (M-F) I have a loose schedule that I follow. Knowing what I’m doing next helps me not lose time between tasks
Hey how many do you list per day
15 per day
What's the name of your store?

What’s an estimate of what you’ve paid in taxes the 1st yr you did reselling ? I’m trying to see all the expenses associated with selling before I start.
It totally depends on how much you sell but if you’re just starting, I would save 30% of what you make just to be safe! *not financial advice lol*
@@_calebsellsright! That’s a good idea . I’m sure everyone saves a different amt. for taxes
Nice. 91k how much after taxes ?
I save 25% for taxes but everyone’s tax situation is different so I don’t go into that in this video
@@_calebsells I get it and understand. I guess for some of us would like to see realistic numbers at the end of the day. I appreciate you

Minus $21,988 for 24% taxable income for a total of $69,622 profit.

Love to hear that! Going up in listings can be intimidating but you can always go slow!
At 1400 items how much are you selling per day?
18 per day
How much it took you to get momentum? When did you see the steady sells ?
