+Duncanmn not only I agree with you that they are really cute, but also I'd like to say a word or two to that jerk who has adjusted the pedals of Alisa. THis guy hasn't took any precaution to silence them with some rubber or tissue between the pavement and the pedals, so they make a lot of noise when they are changed. Too bad, but this doesn't diminish the value of this performance. Two kids who play without reading, a very difficult transcription. Alisa who plays the orchestral part is simply adorable.
Have watched other performances of this lovely, young angel and am amazed at the talent she has....have not seen her ever reading the music she plays; which I assume she has practiced and memorized all that she plays. Hope to be able to follow her throughout her career.Again many thanks for this beautiful video.!
I've been watching her for several years. The young man is new to me. He's quite good, too. Kudos to both of them. (btw - she's a bit taller, now, and reaches the peddles better. LOL) I do hope they are being taught to Read music, and not to just memorize individual tunes.
Wow that was awsome. I use to listen to that song played on harp by Marisa Robles. When I was a little g girl first lerning the pedle harp. Very hard piece to do and you both mastered it. Bravo!!!!
This is surreal, like some science fiction story where people age backwards; born at 90 years old and mature and develop until you reach zero. These two show such maturity.
Thanks for the comment! :-) Children are very susceptible, and if you do not keep them for stupid, they can be taught everything! Even regardless of their degree of giftedness ;-)
@@harpvio Interesting comment. Would you describe either of these two as prodigies? Or are they just well taught, and caught at an early 'susceptible' age? And how about yourself? I've read your 'About Me' and I was fascinated. Would you describe yourself as a prodigy, or just a hard-working person with a great interest?
@@jumpingjflash No, I've never been a child prodigy. I am not deprived of musical talent and was very purposeful from early childhood. But the biggest part of my success is that I was lucky from the very beginning with the teachers. :-) As for these two of my students, they are very different, but both made tremendous progress. Alisa has a phenomenal memory, excellent coordination and a delicate sense of music. She is also hardworking and very dedicated to her chosen profession. Whereas Alexander is more of a mathematician than a musician. He has a remarkable analytical mind and the ability to grasp patterns and connections. But he always had difficulties with coordination and memorization of musical text. However, following the method, step by step, he could overcome all the difficulties on the way of mastering the harp performance.
@@harpvio Thank you so much for responding, which is very much appreciated. I am fascinated by your insight, as well as mesmerised by your performances, and the performances of your students.
Watching her change keys with the wooden foot pedal extensions is the cutest thing! So talented for being so young! :D
