  • DEMO or Soquel Demonstration forest is situated in the Santa Cruz Mountains (Santa Cruz, California) For the first time ever, I will be riding down Flow Trail. It is also #31 best mtb trail in the world according to singletrack.com
Demo has several local favorite such as Braille, Sawpit, and Corral trail.
Hinh’s Mill road to Sulphur Spring Road is about 2.5 miles of an easy ride downhill.
The good thing about this park is that there are signs pointing you to the right way and most of the trails are covered with trees to help shade you from the sun.
Sulphur Spring Road is the hardest part. You’ll make a left to Sulphur Spring Road. The trail is named after the scent of a sulfur mid way on the trail. The climb is under dense tree cover so it’s not so bad during the summer months. It is 1.5 miles climb from Sulphur Spring Road to Ridge trail. The climb is mild to moderately challenging but just think about all the downhill you’ll get to ride down in.
Ridge Trail to Flow is approx. half a mile away.
Flow Trail is 3 miles of Berms, Rollers, & some jumps that makes this bike trail exciting. The berms help you go faster around corners. This is definitely easier than Braille IMO. FLOW trail is broken up into 6 sections and every single one will put a smile to your face.
If you should want seconds, take Tractor Trail which will take you to Ridge trail then to Flow to ride the roller coaster like trail once again. Be careful not to wipe out!.
Flow - From Hihn’s Mill Road back to the parking lot is 4 miles and approx. 850 feet climb back to the parking lot
Trails in Demo - Flow Trail, Braille Trail Sawpit Trail, Corral Trail, Ridge Trail....
