Massive, MASSIVE thanks to the wonderful @gavinking8761 for his service by driving a pretty hefty way to the historical Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor to catch a screening of The First Omen in glorious 35mm, and also, sneakily taking and sending me this quick video to document that, yes... there are 35mm prints out there with the 20th Century Studios logo, which I have posted on my channel with his granted permission! The logo and film communities will be having a frenzy with this one.
(and to those who are gonna inevitably ask, I'll try to get those South Park 35mm videos out if my phone and computer will learn to play nice)
Audiovisual content property of The Walt Disney Company.*
* it feels weird calling this a Disney movie, but conglomerates gotta conglomerate. :P
Its so weird seeing the latest TCF/TCS Logo on film rather than seeing it on digital
0:25. It looked like something got spliced during the logo. I just heard a small skip of the audio in the print. Now watching the logo, I see a lot of film grain. Is the condition of the print like that to begin with? Just curious
Woah, this is trippy :O
35mm Retrospective & Nostalgia
Is there a 35mm ending to this film, the first omen?
And now..
The First Omen
That's interesting. I've also seen a couple of 35mm prints of the 2009 logo on other YT videos as well.
sometime soon, 35mm will be in major use agian.
Twentieth Century Studios Presents
THE FIRST OMEN
Do you have the 35mm ending of the first omen
The movie itself was almost going to get rated NC-17, but it never actually got it.
Coincidentally, the same thing happened with fellow 20th Century prequel, The King's Man.
Same thing with South Park bigger longer and uncut.
Why did you deleted your VHS collection videos?
Are you going to make a new channel based off VHS collections?
Kind of. I withdrew the VHS collection videos from public viewing because I'm planning to move my physical media-related content to my secondary channel, which is far more dedicated to that field.
I wanna see the film
From what I understand, to see the movie specifically in 35mm, you'd have to be in the Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, Atlanta, Dallas, Portland, Cambridge, or Ann Arbor areas.
@@tvs6607 You mean Ann Arbor?
@@stuartmcpherran5115 Yes, yes I did.
IDK if it's me but the fanfare sounds a bit different
Idk if it has anything to do with it being fine-tuned up? (I think I might notice some other difference as well; is it the mix or something?
it’s probably just the left and right channels of the 5.1 mix
oh and it sounds slightly sped up
It could be wow and flutter from the analog soundtrack
how did you make it in 35mm?
Per the description, this was taken from an official 35mm film print of The First Omen.
This is real what?
