Does this song hit anyone else a little different since Akira Toriyama died? I know he didn't have a hand in most of the series shown here, but I can't help but feel like Goku set an example for the headstrong, determined protagonist archetype.

Definitely, even if your not a fan of his work, he had a pretty big impact across the entire genre. Hard to ignore it even if you wanted to.
vegeta also had a very huge impact for his type to hate the main character but still be friends with them.
I declare this song to be the Anthem for all Shounen anime henceforth.
Not just Shonen, but all anime beyond it. AOT isn't part of Shonen Jump as far as I know (unless you're referring to something else).

A tribute to all the anime shows that inspire generations of people in the west of great storytelling, and how these stories can continue to inspire more later on.
To bad the west can't tell good stories anymore except for a few examples. I don't understand why the west story telling went towards politics.

ok i don't know how i missed this song, but I found it around the perfect time of needing something motivational. I had lot happen lately that just made me feel like the world was fallen on me, but this song randomly got put on my mix right after my favorite Divide music song "Always Hated Goodbyes", while I was out on a run to clear my thoughts, and when it played i just felt the urge to sprint till my legs gave out. After i good while sitting along the road just replaying this song i felt all the weight fall off, even though i lost a very close friend they would want me instead of distancing myself, to celebrate the life he had with the friends we made.
This song always kinda symbolizes that sense him and me grew up on anime like Naruto and one piece, while most of our other friends are just getting into anime with My Hero, Black clover, and Demon slayer. But thank you Divide Music for another Motivational banger of a song.
