      She missed the 3rd place only because she had to hit the wall with her head. Her head was ahead the 3rd one, she was faster then her. Paralympics are great games but lack fairness.

    I always love watching the Paralympic swimming because they are brave, strong, and encouraging to young swimmers like me! Butterfly is also my favorite stroke

      I am a paralympic swimmer myself and it's hard work! Especially since during training over here you train with other who well, don't have any disabilities I guess. Currently my dream is to go to the paralympics like Vladyslava (Malta). I remember that my old coach had to stop teaching me so that she could go to the games with Vlada.
      Anyways, butterfly is one of my favourites to. Most I have done is 50m though without a break. Still am 13 so have a good way to go at least!

    That girl touched the pad with her freaking head while going at full speed!!!! And she dove in without a streamline... i feel like that could hurt her face quite a bit. She's hardcore!!!!

      You can do it! I learned swimming for many years but finally I mastered it at age of 22. Learn to float inside water and on the water, hold your breath, no panic, 10 sec, 20 sec, 30 sec , then move your arms and legs, dang!

    These womens are real heroes for me. Disabled and with missing body parts they are so strong and enjoy their life. And I am sad because of busy workdays. Now I appreciate I can walk, touch and hug my wife and children. A big tribute for these wonderful people to teach me how can I see always the good side of my life!!!

    I have always wondered how they can swim so fast without use of their legs, or for some, literally without arms and legs entire. Huge respect for it. I can't even swim that fast and I have full mobility of all my limbs.

    2nd grade my teacher wanted me me to draw a picture of something that couldn't walk but could swim. I drew a person in a wheelchair and my teacher counted it wrong. I wasn't wrong she was narrow minded.

      The competitors with similar level of impairment (?) Race together so although their disabilities and bodies might look different the race is fair in terns of advantages and such. There are actually 10 different classifications ......... I thought the same thing as you and looked it up lol.
